American Equitable Adjustment Center Reports & Reviews (11)

I received a letter through this group that the government would lower the home mortgage interest rate to 2% for 5 years, and I applied to lower the interest rate. However, I lost $1700 in commission. My Home Mortgage Loan I got an email and a letter saying that the bank would never lower the interest amount. The american adjustment center did not have the authority to lower the home mortgage loan, but only took the application fee.

Covid adjustment review center is the same company its a scam. Stay away. Dont fall into it. Its a huge scam

My mortgage had a high interest rate over 4.375% and I tried to refinance my loan to save some money on my monthly payment
The rates I got from my bank were around 3.5% and when I looked at the closing cost, appraisal etc, this REFI would be way to expensive for me.
Instead I tried to do a mortgage restructuring with my bank however my bank told me that they could not help me because I was current on my loan.
American Equitable Adjustment Center was able to help me on this process. I hired them and paid them $2,450 total fee. They obtained a much lower payment for me, also for 1 month I did not had to pay my mortgage because of the modification procedure. Their process was good, they were very fair in communicating with me what I could expect and also realistic in the goals I was trying to achieve. I am now saving $792 every month and because I could skip 1 month on the mortgage, the process was basically for free. Glad I hired you guys, you guys are professionals.

Due to a job loss and COVID medical situation, I was having some troubles making my mortgage payments. I did hear that some banks were helping people because of specific programs being implemented to help homeowners. My bank was just stalling me all the time…they said they lost my paperwork and after 5 months of frustration and anger I enrolled with American Equitable Adjustment Center. They explained the process to me, and it became very clear that I needed to hire a professional to really do anything for me that will help me and get me in a better situation. Yesterday afternoon I received the final mortgage adjustment paperwork and my savings are 32% of my original payment. Needless to day…I am totally happy! Originally I thought I did not qualify for the program, but it worked out great for me. Thank you guys for your help on this matter. If I know other friends or family member that have also challenges with their bank, I will definitely recommend your services! Thanks!

i am working in the medical field and was inquiring with my bank about the Federal programs. They offered me only a 3 month rate reduction and no permanent solution. I responded to a notice i received at my house and American Equitable Adjustment Center reviewed my case. Initially i was a bit skeptical on this process because this is about my financial situation. Their counselor scheduled a meeting with the compliance manager and decided to proceed with the process. My case was finalized 2 days ago on July 12. With the results that they have accomplished for me; i definately could not have done it myself. My new lower payment starts on September 1 and my principal balance was reduced with $22,630 because i had negative equity in my property. Special thanks for the processor Pauline; she is very knowledgeable, no-nonsense, straight to the point and she gets it done. I had some income challenges and she knew exactly what needed to be done to make my case a strong case with the bank/investor and with great success and positive outcome for me. I paid the company $2,450; this seems like a good investment to me because i will recoop the savings very soon and my savings will continue as long as i have this loan. i am very excited to got this completed. Thank you, i might send you some referrals of some co-workers that could also benefit from your help.

I have a special type of mortgage, it’s called a “pick-a-pay” mortgage. This basically means that I can make a fully amortized mortgage payment based on a 15 year mortgage, or based on a 30 year mortgage, or make an interest-only payment. These type of mortgages are a bit complicated, and banks do not like them very much because of their confusion to borrowers. Anyway, I was current on my mortgage, however had suffered 15% loss of income. My bank told me that I did not qualify for the program and told me to use my savings to pay for the mortgage in case of a shortage of income. I checked with the Government programs that were available to me, however I did not wanted to take the risk of disqualifying myself out of the mortgage relief program. I retained American Equitable Adjustment Center to help them resolve my situation. Initially my bank service department told me that there was no alternative to my program than just to make my regular mortgage payment at 4%. The legal department of American Equitable Adjustment Center got involved and they filed a Qualified Written Request with my bank. Oh boy…did that made a change…All of a sudden my file was escalated to the “high priority” cases with my bank Carrington Mortgage. They now started to take my case very serious; they started offering me some basic relief programs and the processor in American Equitable Adjustment Center worked very well them to get my case resolved. My new interest rate is now 2% and will be 3% for the total duration of the loan! Now I understand what it means that nothing is for free. I paid the company $2,250 and this was totally worth it! This company is truly professional and honors it’s commitment to homeowners if they are not getting anywhere with their own bank. Thank you. Thank you!

I am writing this review to praise my comments for the services American Equitable Adjustment Center has done for me and my family. For over 9 months i was struggling making my mortgage payments. The covid situation has left us with a loss of serious income and my bank was not willing to help me at all. Very stupid and frustrating to even try to communicate with them. Time after time my bank kept stringing me along however they did nothing for me. I spoke to my attorney who recommended me to check with American Equitable Adjustment Center; i explained my situation to their intake counselor and after they reviewed my case, they told me that they can accept me as their client. i went through the process and last week thursday my mortgage was adjustment with much better terms than i could have even imaged. my payment dropped $519/month for the lifetime of my loan! This is of great for my financial situation. Thank you guys for helping me; you kept me informed via your online portal, your processing staff was great dealing with me and my husband and i would definately recommend you to other home owners who are facing the same challenges as i do. Thanks again!

As with the previous compliant American Equitable sent out a pink mailer stating a covid federal mandated modification program could cut your interest rate and save on your monthly mortgage payment. They said I qualified to get a 2 percent interest rate for 5 years then 3 percent for the remained of my current loan. They said they work on behave of fanne mae and freddie mac to work with individuals to restructure there current mortgage and they do not need much information because my mortgage company has all the info already.. They just need a current mortgage statement, bank statement and a energy bill to verifiy my address. The said that a restructure is easier and less expensive to do. They reassured me I was a excellent candidate and would save over $600 a month..
I was very lucky not have lost any money but still they subjected me to a scam which got my hopes up and these scam people should be arrested. I have wasted my time on this stupid scam. I am so gullible when it comes to trusting people.

American Equitable sent out a pink mailer stating a covid federal mandated modification program could cut your interest rate and save on your monthly mortgage payment. They reassured me I was a excellent candidate and would save over $500 a month. But I had to hurry and E-sign and send in a picture of my Check for $850 to lock in my contract so they could get paperwork together. After that I was emailed by the processor of the company and she demanded documents that the 2 previous employees said I did not need to send in. When I questioned this and asked for a NMLS number she did not contact me back for 5 days. She never answered my questions and said someone else will call. After that I called my mortgage company and they informed my that they do not know of the program they are offering and they do all loans in house and do not allow a third party to handle them. Then I sent a email to the accounting department to refund my retainer to which I never receive a response from them. I sent additional emails to everyone I talk with and had no response. I was able to talk to someone in accountings and they told me they would discuss my case at the next meeting a week later. When that time came I had to call them them to discuss my case again because no one knew what was going on and they needed an additional day to discuss. The following day they sent me and email stating they do not have to refund my money but they are willing to send my only $400 out of the $850 if I signed a document with in 13 hours and I would not be able to discuss or mention the conduct of the company.

Every since I started to ask questions the company changed there tune and received very little contact by them and when I was able to speck with someone it was very hostel and combative. I am still being strung along now 24 days since I signed the contract. When I showed my bank's fraud department the documents and website they said these people are very good at looking legitimate.
