I saw a Facebook ad for a camp chair that was perfect for my nephew with autism. I purchased it for him for his birthday a month in advance via the website given on the Facebook ad. After purchasing, I received an invoice from the company and saw that my credit card had been charged. I was told that I would receive another email when my order had shipped. After 3 weeks, I still had no email and had not received my order. I sent an email to the email address listed on the invoice ([email protected]), asking about the status of my order. I received a response from [email protected], asking which company I had purchased their product from so they could check on the status. It appeared to be a supplier's response. I replied with "Camperz District" and my purchase date. I did not receive an email response. I tried emailing 3 additional times with no response. I tried calling the phone number listed twice: each time, it went to a voicemail that had not been set up. I found their Facebook page again and tried sending a message through Facebook. I received a response there of, "What how when" followed by "Really" (no punctuation). When I asked for clarification, I received no response. Their Facebook page had 2 comments, one saying they were not authorized dealers of a particular product and the other simply saying "scam." I tried to look them up on the website again, only to receive a notice that said, "Looks like this domain isn't connected to a website yet!"

I finally gave up and filed a claim with my credit card company who researched my story. They agreed this was a scam and fortunately refunded my money. I was and still am extremely disappointed I was unable to bring this purchase to my nephew's birthday party.
