I was contacted by someone named James McKinely that was offering a job position at $20 for week of training and then $35 an hour after training.
Employment letter was offered via email as well. I was also contacted by Catherine Cole from the same company via text messaging.

Here's the fraudulent check they send you. Be careful.

I received all of the same type of scam tactics within the last 48 hours today is May 14, 2020. I have even received a check from Discover Bank for $2,956.25 to be used to open an account specific details were for me to deposit in my bank account via my cell phone and send them a copy of the deposit; well of course I did not do this so everyone PLEASE be CAREFUL this company is a major fraud. I was asked to communicate via Google Voice and received an offer letter stating I will make $30 an hour $20 an hour during training and that the HR manager will direct me through all the steps that I needed to make. After finally searching thank you God I found this page warning me to not proceed thanks to everyone before me and I hope that anyone who may received another email reads these first.

I applied from Zip Recruiter. I received the same offer email for the Executive Assistant position. I was asked to take an "assessment" online yesterday. It really was just a few generic questions and little bio. Then I received the offer email less than 24 hours after the assessment. I thought it was very strange to offer me the job without even interviewing with anyone.
I started trying to find reviews on Indeed & Glassdoor, but found nothing which signaled another red flag. Then I found this page and my suspicions were confirmed. Thanks for saving me. I think we should all report it as scam to zip recruiter.

I received the same email and offer as others listed here. I’ve been scammed before so I am cautious now and aware of scamming techniques. I don’t like missing opportunities so I looked up the company website and reach out via their “contact us” page asking about the email I received. They responded saying it was legit and I could proceed. Luckily the offer letter I received after a single email made me suspicious. I’m glad I checked again and found this page. It is so sad that there are people out there trying to scam people and get their hopes up while looking for a job.
I originally found the job posting for executive assistant on zip recruiter. I am going to see if there is a way to report to them as well. My dad is a federal agent and I know there is a task force that looks into these scams as they typically lead to a larger operation. I am going to try and find that website for reporting as well.

I received the same email that many people have received. I’m upset that I waisted my time responding in the first place. After receiving an email stating that I had been accepted with the same $30/hour and $20/hr during training offer. I knew something was fishy so Googled this company and I’m so glad that I did. Next time, I will make sure I to have a FT or in-person interview. All you need, is to report this scam and do NOT respond to these thoughtless heartless people! ?

Fell for the scam, been looking for work for a bit and they must've found my resume online. I work remotely already and with coronavirus thought this would be a good way to earn a bit more. Should've noticed when they were turning all my queries into positives and didn't want a phone conversation. Anyway, they only got an out of date UK's driver's license with no usable information, apart from my name and DoB.

I also received an e-mail from 'Jessica Steele' saying they had found me resume on Indeed and wanted me to set up an interview with Citigate Group Consulting's Hiring Manager for Data Entry Clerk position. I was asked to set up Telegram and was given the HM's ID number (the same as someone else received), which I did. The online interview was conducted on April 13, and they indicated that once I received the equipment, my 2 weeks of training would start. I wasn't asked to send money, but was told how much the pay would be. I was asked questions such as what financial institution I banked with, what my typing speed was, and once the position was explained to me, if I felt that I could do the job functions. I haven't heard back from them or from 'Jessica Steele'. although I've sent e-mails to 'Jessica Steele'. It was indicated during the interview that this was strictly a work at home online job. I've deleted the chat, and because I didn't give them any financial information, hopefully nothing will happen. I did get a phone number from my contact at CNIB, but I can't seem to get any response from phoning the number. If something seems too good to be true, then it isn't.

I received an email from Citigate Group Consulting, saying that they were responding to my online application (which I never actually applied to). I assume they found my resume on Guru, because since then Guru sent me an email warning me about this company. It was from Human Resources asking me to take an online assessment. After doing this and being a bit skeptical because of the grammatical errors, I got an email within minutes from them saying they'd like to hire me! Needless to say we went back and forth with emails and I knew it was a scam but I like to mess with them a little bit. So I told them to get a legit job lest they spend eternity in the fiery pits of hell! Savages.

I have received the same emails and communication. DELETE, report SPAM, and/or do not respond to these heartless people. Any job that wants to hire you will want to meet with you in person!

I was recently applying for jobs on Indeed. Today I received an email from a "Jessica Steele" saying that they would like to interview me online for a job I applied for. I was then asked to set up an account on Telegram where I was to have an online interview with "Mrs Susan Combe." After asking me hardly any questions, they told me they were happy to offer me the position. They promised a high wage and said they would send me money in order to buy supplies for my new home office, since the job was supposed to be a work from home position. Sounded too good to be true. Then they told me I needed to deposit that cheque from them and immediately send an e-transfer to the person they always "order supplies from." They became pushy and impatient and started setting time limits. Thank goodness I came to my senses before sending them anything, I hope this is helpful information to stop this from happening to someone else!

I have been applying online for jobs and my resume is stored upon some online job banks, usual story for a post on this site.

I received an email this morning (March 31st) from "Jessica Steele", congratulating me that her company wanted to setup an online interview for a position. However, within the body of this initial email, "Jessica" stated that the interview would be conducted through the Telegram app with "Susan Combs". Also, there was no mention of the company I would be working for. This should have been a red flag, but I rolled with it. At the time I had not came across another post on this site with the exact same situation.

After setting up the app, I received a message from "Susan Comb" from "Citigate Group Consulting". After a couple of spelling and grammar mistake ridden messages, I did a little digging and came across a post on this site mentioning the exact situation that is was in, including the exact same names being used. It was early enough in the conversation that they had not gotten any information nor asked for money. I politely asked that we continue the conversation on the phone and I asked for a number which I could call. Suffice to say, the interviewer ghosted me.

My apologies to anyone actually named Jessica Steele, but do not reply to any email from Jessica Steele to setup an interview with Susan Comb or Combs or whatever they want to call themselves. I am also going to report Citigate Group Consulting as much as I can and I urge all other effected to do the same. Also, the number they messaged me through was 14692573462.

I guess some individuals have zero issue with scamming vulnerable people.

I have had my resume online with a few different job sites for a while. I receive an email March 16th 2020 stating that CGC was excited to offer me an interview after reviewing my online resume.

When reading through the initial email, it seemed as though it was legitimate and I accepted the offer. As the business was based in the USA, “Jessica Steele” the HR Assistant advised that the interview was to be held through Skype. As I have done skype interviews before I thought nothing of this.

Today March 17th 2020, I had my interview. It was not a video conference, all questions were asked through Skype messaging and the interviewer “Mrs. Susanne (Susan, her name was spelt two different ways” Comb” asked me to deposit a cheque in order to set up my home office. This sent off major red flags, especially when she started giving me an hour time limit on setting up online banking in order to deposit a cheque she was going to EMAIL me. I blocked and deleted the company right away and completed some research. There are no reviews on this company, no specific addresses, except for England and Illinois and you can only find the companies website.

Please be careful when applying online. I am worried that they are now going to be able to get my information from skype. I have went ahead and changed my password, but the interview was an hour long. I have. Also deleted my public resume from all job search sites, but still weary that they have my actual information from this.
