I applied for a Podcast Editor job via Indeed at Earth Networks. I was contacted by someone claiming to be Moosa Hassan from their HR department. He sent me information about the job, which paid a suspiciously high salary for the role ($75 per hour @ 40hrs per week). He asked me to schedule an interview but said that it would be done via Teams chat which was suspicious. During the interview, he asked pretty basic questions. I was then contacted by the same person the next day saying that Max Wolfram, the head of HR would contact me by way of phone to review my answers. When I was supposed to receive that call, I instead received a message from "Moosa" that Max had the flu and the call would be rescheduled. "Max" called me the following day, and after only a few seconds of talking offered me the job. He said "Moosa" would be in touch with more information. "Moosa" reached out shortly after and asked me for my full name, address, and phone number so they could add my information to their network.

I was pretty certain this was a scam all along but couldn't find any information about it until I found the exact same writeup on here. The person who previously experienced this said that they did research and Moosa Hassan used to work at this company, but no longer does so it's clearly somebody impersonating him. I have not yet been asked for payments or social security number or anything like that, but I'm sure that is the next step for the scam. I will be blocking all contacts and reporting this as needed.

I applied for a podcast editing job on indeed. I was for contently. I thought it was a recruiting company. I got an email from a Moosa Hassan saying they were from Earth Networks saying they wanted to do an interview. I looked up that person on LinkedIn and it said they worked for the company. I did not think anything else of it. I did an interview the next day over teams. It was through just text chat. People were telling me that it was a new way of interviewing. They asked legitimate questions. I then got another message after the interview saying the head of hr max wolfram wanted to interview me. He called me from 332-867-0339. He called me and said I got the job and I would get an email with the paperwork. I got an email with the paperwork and before I signed it I have my friends look it over. They said things do not line up with the company name and the email address. They called the real company. They said that a Mossa Hassan did work there but not anymore. They said it was probably scam. They have my name, address, and phone number. I reported the job listing on indeed. I blocked all their numbers and emails and deleted my teams account.
