I applied to a position, Office Assistant, at Nissei Plastics on Zip Recruiter. I received the following email.

Job Description:

The job requires someone who is bright and a quick learner.The job requirement includes;draft correspondences and other formal

documents, assistance in running errands,answering phone calls,check voice mail,paying bills and organizing the

office.This is a full time position and the pay rate is $21/hr.Working hours are 9am-5pm, Mondays through Fridays.

This position starts as soon as possible so..

I received a text from (252)705-1457: Good morning ***, this is Mr. Kyoto Takizawa from Nissel Plastics., we have gotten your response to our email. Kindly let us know when would you be the best time for use to call you for a phone interview between (AM - 10AM), if you are not available within those hours we can always reschedule for the next day...Thanks

I responded: Good morning Mr. Takizawa, I am in a meeting until 930 AM. Just to make sure I am out of the meeting, would you please call me at 935 AM. If not I would have to schedule for tomorrow. Thank you.

Then I stated looking to see where I applied for this position. It was through Zip Recruiter. It also said it was only part-time. Therefore, I sent another text. Mr. Takizawa, I am currently working a full-time position. If the Office Assistant position is only part-time, I am no longer interested.

He responded: It is part-time we would speak soon. I responded: I'm no long interested in part-time. Thank you.

He responded: It is 9AM - 5PM Monday through Friday. Didn't you read the email?

I responded: When looking through my notes, I seen that I applied on April 14th. I had down 19 to 21 hours. I have probably ruined my chance with you. If you are still interested, I would be available to speak with you. Please send me the time and date. I will make sure I am available.

He responded: Are you available now. I replied: yes, I am. So he calls and we are maybe on the phone for a maximum of 10 minutes, half was him basically reading everything that was in the e-mail. He asked what is my best skill. I told him. He asked me for my mailing address as well. I was stupid and texted my address and thanked him for the phone interview. Then he said I will get back with you either tonight or tomorrow morning after I get with my team and let you know if you got the job. He text me the next day: Good morning ***, I would like to inform you that I have spoken to the HR department and the rest of the team about you and we have made our final decision to employ you as our office assistant for our new office in Indianapolis, IN set to open on the 25th of June is that okay by you.

I responded: That is awesome! Thank you! He sent another text stating: You would be starting work as soon as possible, the full team from Japan would be arriving on the 15th of June to verify the office locations and also present you with official employment paperwork , I would be back in Indianapolis in two weeks time but before I get back I would need you to assist me in purchasing some office Supplies,office equipment and furniture, is that ok by you. I said: Perfect!

He sends another text. I have made arrangements with the accounting department and they would be making out a check of $23000 to cover all expenses, to prevent any error, please confirm the your address. he typed my address. He sent another email: Did you gt my last text message? ME: Yes I did. Where are you currently located? I would prefer that a company credit card be send vs cash. I am kind of surprised that you would hire me without actually seeing me and having a one on one. Would you please send me an email confirming all of this information? ( gave my e-mail address) I send another message: Also would you let me know how many offices I would be ordering furniture and is there a receptionist area? I then send another texted: Mr. Takizawa, If a company credit card is not available for me to use then send a check. I will open a new checking account. I'll still work my current job until the 15th. therefore, if you want to send to my work address to make sure I receive the check, my work address is (and give the information)

He replied: I would be giving you detailed instructions on what we need to get immediately, the check would be sent to the address earlier provided, is that okay? Also you would be paid for the hours used in running errands daily, is that okay? I responded: Yes to both questions.

He responded: Ok perfect..I would text or call you first thing tomorrow morning to keep you updated on the delivery of the check and any further arrangements. Congratulations and welcome to Nissei Plastics, we are very sure you would carry out a good job and be diligent in your duties. Have a great day ahead. Talk to you tomorrow morning. I replied: Looking forward to a career with Nissei Plastics.

Something still didn't feel right to me so I looked on the ScamPulse.com and seen that someone else when through the same thing except they were from China. I sent another message: After looking on the ScamPulse.com and seeing someone else reported the same information I received, I'm withdrawing my acceptance. I am not longer interest because of this. And I am reporting this as a scam!
