this company hired me to work from home as a quality packing inspector. they did everything a legit employer would do. They had an HR department, payroll, etc. and i did the job i was hired for a month. the agreement was a 1 month trial period when they would determine if i would stay on permanently. the salary was $85 a day plus a bonus for every package successfully processed. payable at the end of 1 month. I performed the tasks of the job for 1 month and there were supervisors guiding me thru the process for the entire month. as soon as the month expired and i started expecting my pay they locked me out of the system i had been logging into each day to do my work and when i tried to contact them, nobody answered the phone or responded to my emails. they never paid me so they got 1 month free labor out of me and i have no chance of ever reaching anybody to get what they owe me

- Frankfort, IL, USA

The scammers had me complete employment verification form and a W4. I also was asked for my drivers license to be uploaded into their system.

I was contacted from the HR department paragon post by the name of a person named Mabelle Rowland. she asked me if I was interested in working with them at paragon post and I said yes I watched a video about how the job works. We also talked about how much I will be getting paid and how often they pay per month I was told that I would be making 2800 per month, she said that all I would need is my iPhone or my computer to print out the labels go over the packages make sure everything’s not damaged and mailed them out. I even read over the company’s handbook and sign the consent I took a picture of myself in the drivers license and send it to her email.

- Inlet, NY, USA

Got a phone call from this company and they said that I was hired and that they sent an email with the video to watch. Looked and found the video as well as checked this with ScamPulse.com and saw this post. I am thinking that it is a scam since they are asking for personal information right away. Do not want to try it if it is something that will be fraudulent.

I was reached out via email to be a package inspector. This included a link to watch a video explaining the job. The position would include receiving packages, checking that they are not damaged and the delivery was good, and then resending them. It did not make sense why this would be a position as after you resend, it could still get damaged on its way to its final location. Sure enough, I did my research and found it was a common scam to ship illegal or stolen items. Reporting here for others to see and watch out for, and hopefully the business gets taken down so they don’t fool other people.

- Gaithersburg, MD, USA

They contacted me through phone stating that I have been shortlisted for this role and they asked for my id which I provided considering that this is genuine job whereas after researching about it I think its a scam

I received an email and phone call from Myles Pope. She had a strong accent. She offered me a job and even sent legal paperwork to sign for the position. I asked for the web address to find the company because I couldn't locate them by name or address. She quickly stated she will send it to me. Which this took her about 3 minutes to retrieve. Then I proceeded to ask more questions. Why are we repacking items that has already been verified? Why is it needed to take photos of each packet, etc? She answer each one of them. She was very adamant that I reach out to her by call the numbers in the email. I told her I sure will but I need to research more on this company. Then I found this. I'm glad I followed my gut on this one.

- San Francisco, CA, USA

So it seemed too good to be true. They contacted and I assumed that I was onboard right away. I knew something was fishy about it so I searched the ein number on Edgar website and couldn't find anything about the company. Please be careful guys.

On March 14, 2023, after applying at a lot of different job boards and websites, I received an email from a lady name Darla Thomas, so called herself a HR mgr. She also called me on the phone twice and left two voicemail messages to call her back at (207) 910-7069. She sounds asian. On her voicemail message, she said they like to offer me a job as a Countrywide Packing Inspector position. She said on her email, "She got my profile from employment search webpages for Countrywide Packing Inspector position. This is a work-from-home opportunity with flexible time and a fixed rate of $3750 monthly. They also offer performance bonuses on top of my salary. Now the emails was a red flag because she used two different company names with two different emails. The first email was with Paragon Logistics, and the second email it was Paragon Post. Now, when i contact her on the phone about this position, she explained working at home and went over details. She said she will just need my Driver's License or ID for my file, and she will send my paperwork by email to fill out and submit back. I was skeptical and ask if i could get their website to view because i did not even fill out an application yet. She gave me the website, and i viewed it and told her I do not see it. Than she said it was www.paragonlogisticsus.com. It seem legit. After i gave her my DL info, I felt that I should have not because now they have the front and back of my DL. I'm worried that they may use my ID info for identity theft. I end up avoiding there emails cause the address on the website they are using shows that there is no business at that location. Please look out for these scammers.

- Dameron, MD, USA

The “company” posted a job offer on Indeed for remote packing inspectors and I could not find any information about this company. Upon further research I believe they are trying to repackage the mail so that they are not affiliated with it. I’m assuming these packages would contain stolen goods, drugs, guns, etc.
