I found Priceless Dachshunds via Pinterest. I expressed my interest in Kenny a sweet little male long hair dapple dachshund. We exchanged Emails (legendminidoxies.com). I thought I did my due diligence but I found after sending $1000 via Zelle to Brandon Brown, (302) 455-2014 and sending $1,500 for shipping for Secure Core Logistics (email [email protected] and phone number (302) 219-5062. This fee was due to the seller not providing the right shipping crate. fee would be “refundable” once the puppy arrived. That their was an additional fee of $500 because the puppy stayed overnight at their facilities because I didn’t get them the funds before cut off. This has been a hard experience. My dachshund passed away August 2020. I had him for 18 years and I finally ready to add a new member to our family dynamics. My kids were excited we were looking forward to the next chapter. Now we are out $2,500.00 and heart broken. I will be reporting this to Pinterest where I found the information. I hope they remove and ban them from the site to prevent this from happening to another family.

I found the Priceless Dachshunds website and fell in love with one of the puppies. I started emailing back and forth with a guy named Bill Hinds where he provided all the same information I read in the other responses posted on this site. I researched the address he reported he lived and his name wasn't listed as a current resident, and I realized that none of the puppies in the litter had pictures together nor did the backgrounds (i.e flooring/dog beds/decor) look similar. I asked to video chat since I wouldn't meet the puppy beforehand and he declined, he also was very pushy for me to send money and respond to his messages quickly. When I realized he used Zelle, an unprotected service, I immediately knew he was a scammer. I am lucky that I realized that he was dishonorable before I sent any money. Be safe out there when you send money!

We found a website called Priceless Dachshunds with a web address of legendminidoxies.com. We texted and emailed with Robin Nalls concerning a puppy named Coco, a dapple male doxie. We were told a whole bunch of information on him and that he'd come with his shots, bed, leash, and a cute little sweater. We were told we could put a deposit of $525.00 prior to him being sent and then the other $525.00 would be paid to them upon him getting here to us. They had us sign paperwork for transfer of ownership as well as a contract that stated we would take care of him and if anything happened where we couldn't keep him that we would return him to the breeder. Everything seemed legit as we have purchased from a breeder before and we had to do the same thing. We had also done a reverse lookup for all of the pictures on their website and none showed up as being used anywhere else on the web. So, we paid the deposit through Zelle and then a day later they emailed us stating they set up the transport and gave us a tracking number. We didn't realize it was a scam until we went to the tracking website (International Transport Carriers, supposedly based out of the Boulder, CO municipal airport) and we tried to track the puppy only to see that it was supposedly being shipped to Tenessee. When we reached out to the Breeder they didn't pick up the phone but then emailed us saying they got the issue fixed. However, when we looked at the tracking again, it showed that it was now going to our state but the time it was supposed to arrive was still exactly the same as before when it was supposed to go to TN. Then about 30 minutes later we received an email from the "transport company" that stated the crate the breeders sent the puppy in was not appropriate for the weather and they would not be able to send the pup unless we paid for a thermal crate that cost either $2450, $1850, or $1400 depending on the "class" we wanted and that we would have to pay a 5% fee ahead of time that would supposedly be refunded. At that point, we were sure we were duped and when we emailed the breeder again they didn't respond at all.

They used two emails, the one attached to the Zelle account was [email protected]

and the one we emailed with was [email protected]

I contacted someone at a website called legendminidoxies.com. I conversed via tex with someone who helped me with he steps I needed to follow in order to complete the transaction. I was told that for payment they only accepted Zelle and American Express Gift Cards. I actually tried to set up a Zelle account but it wasn't working properly. So the following morning I went out and purchased $800 worth of Amex Gift Cards. I was told to take pictures of the front and reverse sides of the cards as well as the receipts which accompanied them. I did so and texted them to the phone number shown. All of our conversations took place via text or the email shown. After I sent this information I was asked the address for delivery and who would be at home to receive the puppy and who would be signing for the delivery. I let it be known that I would be the recipient. Later in the afternoon I received a text which showed a link by which I could track the delivery for approximately 3pm this afternoon. I chose delivery because I was told that the puppy was in Dover, DE. Early this morning I received an email/text from a place called International Transport Carriers, which told me they were unable to transport the puppy because of the bad weather unless I purchased an electronic thermal crate for transport. Now, I was originally told that the puppy would be transported by someone who would be seated in the cabin along with the puppy and other passengers. Supposedly the puppy would be in the cabin for the FIRST flight, but in cargo for the SECOND flight. The cost of the thermal cart would be between $1750 and $2600 depending on first, second or third class travel. Supposedly I needed to pay in advance for the thermal crate and would receive 95% of that cost upon arrival and delivery of the puppy. 5% would be retained for the service charge. It was at this point that I tried to contact my original contact. He reiterated that I needed to purchase the thermal crate. I told them that I would fly to wherever the transfer point was and pick up the puppy myself. It was the this point that I was told that I couldn't do this because the puppy was in quarantine in Ames, Iowa. I was also told that the puppy needed to clear customs. Well, if the puppy was in the U.S. all of this time, customs is not a necessary thing. I told them that unless I can actually travel to pick up the puppy, I'm going to back out of the deal and I would then contact any authorities that I could. The reply I got was "contact the authorities". And thus I have chosen to do so. I realize that I probably have no way to get my money back, but I won't let the event go without being reported.
