Starpoint Mitigation Reports & Reviews (2)

The alleged company, Star point Mitigation, Steven Blair, reach out to my son on Sept. 25, 2018, informing him that I have 2 civil violations in Franklin County. I called the phone number given to my son (888-564-5174) to inquire about the civil violation mentioned. Mr. Blair told me it was for a company called Buckeye Lending. I was not familiar with that name; however, he mentioned a payday lending. He asked that I submit my proof of payment to [email protected]. After not feeling comfortable, I called back and asked if I could get the correspondence in writing, along with the amount supposedly owed. Mr. Blair put a Mr. Tucker on the phone. Mr. Tucker informed me they had sent a notice out on Jan.15, 2018. I informed him I did not receive, and if he wouldn't mind re-sending? Mr. Tucker responded they are not required by law to resend notices, and it would cost them to do so. I asked for the address, and if there is an amount owed, a check would be sent. He informed me that Star point does not give out their address, for obvious reasons - not sure what that is, nor do they accept checks, only credit cards. I told him I did not have a credit card number to give him. However, I would be happy pay what is allegedly owed, if he could provide a statement or something in writing, with the company’s address. Mr. Tucker became angry, and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to another representative, she told me I could pay on their website. I requested, again, an address. She, too, became angry. Today, Oct. 9, 2018, at 4:38pm, I received another call 888-564-5174, from Mr. Steven Blair. I asked him, again for something in writing indicating the name of the client he is representing, along with the amount I allegedly owed. He became dismissive and stated, "Am I supposed to hand write you something?" I said, no, just a statement, indicating who your client is, along with the amount claimed owed. He, also refused, so I ended the call with, since you have my address, please send me a statement.

Repeated voicemail containing an electronic voice stating my name and saying there is a complaint filed against me and I need to call them immediately to prevent litigation. When I searched and found the website, I saw a physical address. When I search for the address, I find another website which states they will provide an address for websites, mail, business cards etc. to use. Google Maps showed 8,030 businesses at the address. I also cannot locate a EIN for the company. I called the company and asked for the EIN. I told the person on the phone I wanted to make sure they were a legitimate organization. I was asked for my social security number. When I refused, the person disconnected the call.
