They used the email name George or Paull. Claimed they hire for mystery shoppers who were contracted by stores in my neighborhood such as Walmart, cvs, Walgreens, rite-aid etc. They sent me a check of 1,950 with an assignment to do. They told me to deposit the check into my account and deduct $200 for my payment! Then they said that the assignment was due on that day! The assignment was to go to 2 different Walmart’s and purchase $900 worth of iTunes cards in increments of $100 and the other Wal-Mart $800. Then scratch the back of the iTunes cards and snap a pic and send the pics back through email. Well I knew right off because I work at a grocery store in customer service where we get all kinds of scam alerts! One of the biggest scam alert is the iTunes cards! I told them that I deposit the check into my account and that the bank stated that it would take up to 24 hours to hit, but I had not deposited the check in my account.. I wanted to hear their response. They were very adimate about this assignment and emailed back in 24 hours and said “the funds are now available in your account please carry out this assignment today. I am going to shred the check and not even respond back! They have already waisted enough of my time.
