Acting as: Sovereign Pharmaceuticals Reports & Reviews (8)

More than one phone number has contacted me about position with very similar features. The first one I completed the interview and everything else all the way down to congratulations I got the job to being present at 8am. Not even a hour later another message come just with different name and different pay rate. So I had to do my research. And it turns out it is all a scam!

Exactly what is I was thinking about this job offer of $35 an hour! Depositing checks and cashing it out sounds weird.. glad I looked into it. The new guy is Terrance Wilson on Wire App. Beware if it's too good to be true, it isn't!

I did the online interview through Wire app. Was dealing with Larry Lacey. They’re sending me a check federal express. Getting it on Monday. I gave them all my info.I’m going to delete my Wire App and tell them they’re scamming people. They have my info also.

I posted my resume on Career Builders and received an email stating my resume was chosen and to download the Wire app to have an interview. I did, then I went through the interview immediately then and there, and received an offer for an Administrative Assistant position in the same text conversation. They sent a check to me for 4900.00 by FedEx and they also wanted me to send a copy of the deposit receipt. I had a bad gut feeling so I called Sovereign Pharmaceuticals directly to speak with their HR who confirm it was a scam after all. Below are the names and emails of who I had contact via email and the Wire app with.

Elizabeth Pearson --> [email protected]

Mr. Donald Moreno --> [email protected]

My story is identical with Lexies (first post) I reached out to confirm my being hired by Sovereign Pharmaceuticals and was told I wasn’t. The scammers used names: Elizabeth Pearson - said found my resume on CareerBuilder and I needed to set up a wire.com account for the interview. Donald Moreno was my interviewer and said I was hired and he was going to talk to me about onboarding on wire Monday morning. I had a gnawing feeling something wasn’t right. Legit remote jobs send you the equipment- not a check to cash and turn the cash over to the sales person they work with. I am so relieved that I figured it out before giving them too much information. Watch out for this scam!

I posted my resume on Career Builders, indeed, and linked in trying to find a job. I received an email stating my resume was chosen and to download the Wire app to have an interview. I did so. I went through the interview and received a letter of offer for a Data Entry position. They sent a check to me for 4900.00 by fedex and they also wanted me to send a copy of the deposit reciept. I have had to freeze my credit since i filled out a W-4 and submitted my information along with my DL. This is not right at all. I also reported the incident to the police dept here in Hardin County.

I just went through the EXACT SAME situation, but they used the name Larry James. How did you completely freeze your credit? I’m shocked and just no disappointed in myself for falling for this. The online written interview was over 2 hours long. I received the $4900.00 check through fedex yesterday, deposited it into my account, sent him a copy of the deposit slip & then today when funds were not approved right away, I learned through Chase bank they had suspected fraudulent activity and had come across this issue a lot lately. So once I told the fake employer they were unable to clear, he suggested I ZELLE HIM $1000 so they can purchase my home office materials for me so I can begin training immediately. I was aware it was a scam when the check was not cleared but continued to play a long so they didn’t suspect anything and give me time to freeze all of my information. How did you completely freeze your social info? I’m so worried. They know where I live, my drivers license number, social security number, previous address. The audacity of these crooked pos people.

The exact same thing just happened to me, thanks to reading your post and confirming the real Sovereign Pharmaceuticals did not hire me Friday morning. I let them know that I know it’s a scam and deleted my wire.com app! Thankfully all they got was my address- very sad that they are scamming people looking for legitimate jobs!
