- Round Rock, TX, USA

Received an envelope and letter confirming my participation in completing a survey. Attached was a check for $975. Instructed me to contact Kimberly Stroup via email for further instructions. Although the check seems to be printed on authentic check paper, the letter is a Xerox copy of a form letter printed on plain white paper. This raise my suspicions so I chose to investigate.

A fake check was sent to me and I knew right away it wasn't real.

- Holland, OH, USA

They mailed me a letter asking me to email Kimberly Stroup to get instructions on the survey assignment. Enclosed was a check for $2150 from Nuvision credit union. The letter has many mistakes even leaving letters out of their company name in the return address in the letter. The return address is different on the envelop than it is on the letter. It was printed at home not a professional place. Its black and white too.

Well I received an email to do a survey on survey monkey that said I could possibly get $350. I did the survey and 2 days later I received a check in the mail for 2,150.00 and a letter with instructions. I followed the instructions on the letter which told me to email a person name Kimberly Stroup. When this person emailed me back I was instructed to cash the check at my bank take 350.00 for compensation and transfer the rest of it through Walmart transfer service. I was suppose to act as a mystery shopper and evaluate their customer service.

They ask if he would continue to do a survey of Walmart stores and that they would send you out an information package which would give you all the information on how to conduct the survey. The package arrives and it is a check from new vision credit union a cashiers check for $2150 made out to you stating to contact them via email for additional information how to conduct the survey. The check look off to me I contacted the bank which verify that the check was fraudulent. I sent them all the information regarding the check the packaging and the letter that came along with it

I got an email from a Wayne Ross asking me to take a survey that pays $300-750. i googled the name and a man that had passed away popped up so i thought maybe its a foundation in his name and i wanted to do a little more digging... so i filled out the survey and an envelope came in the mail a few days later with nothing but a piece of paper and a check that both look like they've been printed on a home printer. the paper just said to contact a woman named Kimberly Stroup by email. it did not list a phone number or an address just city state and zip code. the check looked legit until i flipped it over and noticed that whoever printed it was running low on ink...
