I was contacted on 12/14/22 on Facebook by a Chinese woman using the name Ms Li XaioFan, who allegedly lives in the Seattle area. She submitted a friend request that I accepted. She asked to move our conversations to WhatsApp, which I did. After a week or so of pleasant exchanges (no romance mentioned or implied), she mentioned that she was engaged in cyber trading in Bitcoin and asked if I would be interested in trading. I was a BTC miner in its early days and was interested. She used a company called AIMS, probably located in Hong Kong <http:>, and worked with a "Chamber of Commerce" that gave her trade information. I ignored obvious red flags, and I "invested" USD 17,200. With Ms. XaioFan's "guidance," made paper "profits" totaling $13,00.00. Ms. XaioFan kept urging me to invest more cash, $30,000, but I refused. At that point, she stopped communicating. I attempted to withdraw a small amount as a test, and the withdrawal was refused. AIMS CSR and Live Chat are unresponsive. I'm screwed!
