I applied for a customer service rep job through zip recruiter. I was contacted by Sandra Prisby [email protected] and was told to set up a zoom account and add Wayne Gordon [email protected] as a contact. They ask you normal interview questions but then ask what bank do you operate with to see if it tallies with the company's official salary payment account. after they tell you you are accepted they send you a LONG list of what equipment and software you will need then tell you that they will send you a check for the cost of the equipment to be purchased through their vendor. Every conversation including interview as done through the chat on zoom. When I questioned about the equipment is when Wayne Gordon called me through zoom to try to convince me that this is a legitimate check or I could pay for the shipping cost of the equipment. I was not comfortable with this and that I decline the offer. Then I got another chat message stating they would send me the check proving to me it was mostly automated but a real person could jump in if needed.
