The man told me his name was Daniel Porter from Kinston, NC. At least that is where he wanted me to send the money via Western Union. I contacted him regarding prices on his website. He contacted me via text and we agreed on a price for two puppies. I started the transaction but after I did he started acting sketchy. He kept saying we need to fill out the "Paperworks". Once, this could have been a typo, but he wrote it that way multiple times. But he refused to send me anything like a contract or the "paperworks" until he got the money. Then he wanted me to call them (Western Union) and tell them I was sending the money to a relative, when the processing was apparently flagged by Western Union and taking time. I came to my senses and let my emotions go and cancelled the transfer. I was absolutely in love with those puppies and I am brokenhearted. I had to put my little dog Calli to sleep recently and the home feels empty without a dog. I was very excited and almost fell for the good price because I wanted them so bad. But I would not have gotten them and then I would have been out the only money I have to get a new one.

As soon as he confirmed I had cancelled he refused to answer any more questions. I told him I would be happy to resend the money once I had a contract emailed to me and photos and registration numbers of the parents, as well as where the puppies have been kept and how they had been socialized. He was obviously foreign and this was obviously a scam. I asked many times for pictures or descriptions of the "Champion Bloodline" parents. He said all the pictures he had were on his iPhone which was stolen. Really? He would not tell me any more about his facility or send me pictures of it. When I asked if I could come pick them up in person, he said, "no we do home delivery, ok?" He kept ending his sentences with "Ok?" (Another indication that he is probably foreign, not that that is definitely a problem, it was just an additional red flag.) Also, there were 8 puppies pictured. They all said they were 10 weeks old and ready for their new home now. That is an extremely large litter for small shih tzus and these were Imperials, although he called them tea cups, another red flag, as that is not the proper term. Nowhere on the site are the parents shown, which is highly unusual for a breeder, they always show the parents. Plus, they had too wide a variation in coloring to all come from the same litter. I am so thankful I came to my senses and did not send him the $700. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I hope he is not successful at scamming anyone else.
