I wanted to purchase a puppy and I have reached out to numerous searches to find a Toy Fox Terrier puppy. I was contacted by a guy named Greg, who said he had a 12 wk. old puppy named Bella. He sent me pictures and then sent me a legitimate looking bill of sale, with a warranty, signed by him, although the name listed was different than the name Greg he has been using in all of his emails - Kenny G. Robert. He asked that I sign it and return it to him, along with the money for the puppy. He said he was not set up to receive credit card payments, saying he was a small breeder, although he has supposedly been in business for 11 yrs. Anyway, against my better judgement, I sent the money via my bank, and he emailed me back that he had received both the money and the signed bill of sale. I could not be home to accept the dog on Monday, so I asked him to set up transport for Tuesday. This morning at about 11:30am, I received an email from Omega Pet Courier Service, stating they had received an order to transport the puppy Bella from the sellers address (Amazing Toy Fox Terriers) to my address. It had no airline info or flight number, but it stated a pick up and delivery time. Then at a little after 5 pm, I received another email from Omega, stating I had to pay for a "refundable" life insurance for the dog to be transported, and that they would not release the dog without me paying this "refundable" fee. The fee was $1455.00, which is more than what I paid for the dog. The wording of the email was so bogus, stating it was part of the SPCA's requirements to decrease the incidents of abuse and that it was a US law, in order to allow the dog to be flown. I forwarded a copy of the email to the seller and he has not responded. I also called his phone number and left a voice mail, but he has not responded. The phone number for Omega Pet Courier Service is false. I am so mad at myself for falling for this scammer, and I am very sad to not get the puppy! Please make sure this does not happen to someone else.
