They Then made a transfer from from savings to checking and wanted me to wire the money to I could not see my accounts. Went to bank and changed all accounts . Did not loose any money.

- Wagoner, OK, USA

He said he was from Amazon and I had fraudulent activity on my account. He wanted me to get on my computer, but I told him I was at lunch. He said he would call back, to give him a,convenient time. I haven't heard back yet, but will let him know I called Amazon, and they said they would never call me. It is definitely a scam.

- Cedar Rapids, IA, USA

A message was left on my home phone that I had made a purchase using my “default card” of $949.99 and if this is accurate, just hang up and my purchase would be sent to me. If this was inaccurate call the billing and fraud department at 866-219-1189. I did not make any purchase. I did not call back, because I have heard you should not call back in these situations to a phone number that is left on the message. This happened at the end of March and so far, I have not had any unusual charges or received a purchase in the mail. But after listening to the message again, I decided I needed to report this phone call.

- Cedar Rapids, IA, USA

Call came from a local Cedar Rapids phone number. Said I had $492 charged to my Amazon Prime account that could be fraud. Said to press 1 to be connected to fraud division. When I did, it sounded like a call center with lots of voices in the background, like a call center would. When I asked what the purchase was, he said it was an Amazon gift card and was made from Dallas, Texas. He then asked me to go to my computer and I refused, so he hung up. I checked my Amazon account while talking to him, and there was nothing amiss so I knew it was a scam. Voice was eastern Indian accent.
