Amazon Service Reports & Reviews (1)

I received an email from the aforementioned address. The email was mostly blank with an attached PDF file. This file told me my Amazon account was suspended, and that I needed to verify my information, otherwise my account would be shut down. It had a big orange "Update now" button. I was on my phone, so I tapped on the button. It took me to a website (I think the link said "mailservices" or something in it, NOT amazon.com) where I was supposed to fill in personal information, like name, Amazon account password, address, and social security number. I didn't remember my ss number, but while trying to remember it, I realized that Amazon never asked me for it in the first place. I tapped on the different logos in search of a link back to the Amazon website, which gave me a 404 error. I looked back at the attachment, and the "update now" button was in very poor quality, so I should've seen it from the start. I quickly changed my password and reported it to Amazon. I'm unsure if they were able to get my personal info from just that alone, but they probably did.
