Called saying he was from Amazon and I needed to download anydesk.com in order to reverse a charge for 750$ for an iphone that was purchased using my bank account and amazon acct. Wanted me to give access to my computer in order to reverse charges .said his name was Henry and then pretended to transfer but it was the same person but now with the name Frank and Id # 129205 .

Received a call from " Amazon Verification department" saying I had 3 purchases on my Amazon acct., I pad, expensive camera (forgot brand) & laptop. They put a hold on my account and I needed to buy $200. of Google play cards at Walgreens, CVS or Target. This was needed to use the codes to cancel the orders. He said I needed to do it right away; the account could only be on hold for a short time. I got an email verifying the Ipad purchase had been cancelled. He called back to check that I'd gotten the email. He needed pictures of the codes and receipts sent. I was not able to send them so I read the numbers from the back of the cards to him. H called back & said only one item could be cancelled & I needed to buy $400. of the same gift card. I said that doesn't make any sense & he said that was how Amazon did it. Did the same as before. Got an email saying camera purchase was cancelled. We did not finish so he called the next morning. Same problem about only one item could be cancelled. I would get an email telling me how much I needed to buy . An email came saying $500 in ebay cards. I was also told I would be paid for the cards. A picture of 2 checks were emailed to me They had Amazon with a Seattle address. He called to see if I'd gotten the email. I was to hurry. I thought about it being a scam but I did it. The next request was for $600 in Ebay cards from another store. Target or CVS. I did not do that. I finally called Amazon customer service. I'd thought about before that but the emails seemed like they were real & the talk was effective. I also thought about it being a scam. Of course it was. He emailed and called the rest of the day and a couple times the next day. The only information he requested was the last 4 digits of the credit card I used. I called BOA, the first card I used. There were no new purchases

Reviewing what I did; reading this, it is absurd that I did it.
