American Recovery Re-Investment ARRK Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

- Wilmington, OH, USA

I received a phone call yesterday 7-25-17 around 10:30a.m. from 202-630-2624 x 172 my granddaughter got the call, and when I got to the phone they had hung up, so I hit redial. The guy answered the phone and he said he was with ARRK, and he asked (and mispronounced my name) and I said yes it is. He said this is ARRK and I asked him what that is and he said (his name was Andy Young) and he is from the American Recovery Re-Investment and he mentioned that they were a government agency and that we were granted a $9, 200 and your code is going to be OL102. He said his name was Andy Young and when we were finished with this I would need to speak with manager to confirm everything. I asked what was this for, and he said he was with a government agency and that they do 1600 people a year they grant, it is not a loan there is nothing to pay back, and you don't have claim at the end of the year as income, it is for families in need or in trouble that has been decent people in the US people, I see that you do not have a job right now, and you applied for social security or disability or some other government agency that has put your name into this. Your name is randomly selected that has been put into this system because there are only 1600 (I am 80% sure he said this number of people), if I do one of three things, and that they would have to cover with me and the business. I asked how do you collect this money, he said they won't do paper checks any more. You would have to do one of two things either bank account number to do direct deposit, and I told him I wouldn't do that. He said no personal information is needed, that they have the information they need to accomplish this, and if I didn't want to do bank account, I would have to go to Walmart, Kroger, CVS you have one of those in your area, that you can purchase an electronic giftcard that was protected the only cards that have protection on it that they can do electronic transfers on. He said I would have to go to one of those places because they are noted businesses in our area, they could check with a customer assistant or preferable a manager from that business, and they would contact them themselves once I get there. They would tell the manager what kind of card they needed, and I could tell them also it would be an electronic card, and he said you are usually charged a $200 fee for that and that's why you get $9,200, you received $9,000 and the $200 is for reimbursement. The program is for individuals that qualify and are having severe trouble to help re-invest have to give statement what we were going to use money for, I said to pay to catch up on future bills until disability approved groceries, etc. You do realize this cannot be used for drugs, alcohol or any other illegal activity you will not qualify for any benefits of any kind through the government, once I get done with this, you will need to speak with my manager and will need to get the business to verify your id. The manager got on there and repeated the same things I am Andy Young's manager, and want to reconfirm things called it a once in a lifetime offer. He said I need to know which way you will do this, I said I would go to Walmart before giving my bank info, Walmart is qualified to verify id, once they give the information the phone comes back to him and that they are from 10020 Washington DC District of Columbia.  Get a secure electronic card, once you buy call us back we will speak with the manager to tell them, it can take up to 25 minutes and it will be on your card and you can spend the money on what you need, you don't have to report on your income tax, it is a onetime offer to help you recover and get back on your feet, when you get back on your feet it helps the economy and the government. He thanked me for his time and told me when I get to Walmart to call the 202 number and he would answer the questions for Walmart rep and that they were qualified to do this. They both had what sounded like Indian accents, Andy Young sounded like he has less of an accent.
