American savings Reports & Reviews (4)

I was given a phone number by my realtor to set up water services at our new address. It took me to a "promotional department" called "American Savings" where i was chosen to pick between $100 shopping credit or $50 dining credits. The person that took my call insisted I continue with the promotion where afterwards I would be directed to the water department, with a 10% discount. Even though I doubted this, it didn't sound right, it was annoying and he said it would only be $4.95 to mail out the savings package to our new address. I asked if this was the water department and he insisted that this was the water department promotion and so I gave him my cc like an [censored], just to get to the water dept. My bank texted me as this was suspicious(it showed up as "My Discount Net LLC), but it had to be the water department right? My realtor gave me the number, so it must be right. At the end, the person I was on the phone with, gave me the number to the water department to call, and I saw that it was two numbers transposed from the number my realtor gave me. I called that number, which identified as the water department, and I asked them if they were affiliated with a promotion from American Savings, and she sounded really confused and said no. I immediately called my bank and canceled my credit card. I feel so stupid for falling for this, but I was given the wrong phone number, so how was I supposed to know? I know I should have checked the internet for the correct number, but only in hindsight. Now I am super paranoid I may get identity theft. I filed a fraud report with my bank and will not pay the $4.95. They got my addresses, phone number, email, year of birth and (now canceled) credit card number.

I got a post gram in mail said I-won 100 gift card . So I called they wanted 1.95 for shipping I said thanks and hung up

Hello,

I tried to call my bank Wells Fargo and was automatically connected to a company called American Savings that claimed to be in Orlando, Florida. Here is their number: 1-800-609-3037.

They said that I was eligible for a $100 Visa gift card that I could use on anything if I agreed to let them ship me some advertising and promotional materials from companies called Magsoncall and American MD. They also gave me the website http://yourmagschoice.com/mag.

Then they asked for a credit card number to cover $1.95 in shipping fees.

When I asked them to transfer me to my bank, they hung up. When I finally reached Wells Fargo, Wells said that they have no promotion with American Savings, Magsoncall or American MD.
