The scam occured when the person who was scammed contacted APPLE PAY from the app on their phone to report a decline in transaction to pay a friend for their services. Upon reaching customer support contacted via APPLE PAY on the iphone, the scamster directed the individual to perform a few checks on their apple wallet credit and bank accounts and then identified one of the accounts as the reason for the decline. The scamster convinced that the privacy settings on that account needed to be changed and when resisted upon changing those settings, convinced the scammed individual to perform three transactions which they said would be declined as the account settings would not let them proceed. The individual scammed thought that there was no way they were going to be scammed because they went through the APPLE PAY app and performed the transactions as discussed with the scamster later being told by scamster that they were scammed and laughingly told that money via Zelle is never refunded so enjoy being scammed.
