I Searched Apple store in Beaumont because my phone was having problem’s And a 1 800 # came up so I called and he said they would send me a replacement phone but because of the Covid I had to go to Walmart and buy Steam cards, I spent 600 dollars on cards in the promise that I would be Reimbursed 700 for my troubles for having to do that, I drive to my bank and they told me there was a Apple store open in Beaumont so I drive there with them still in the phone, they were thinking I was driving to another Wal-Mart because I told them they were out of cards at Silsbee Walmart. When I Arrived at the store I told them my situation and the manager got on the phone and talk to him and told him you should be a shamed of yourself for ripping off this lady and of course he hung up. The store manager told me our number always starts with 1-800 so I googled Apple store in Beaumont and I showed him it was a 800#. He then told me they pay google to have there # in there, How is that even legal?? Anyway my husband Recently passed away with glioblastoma at the age of 58 so this is the last thing I needed to go through especially in this time of Covid. I just thought y’all should know and save others from doing the same thing, thank you

I had a message pop up on my computer as well as my ipad that stated that they were in danger of a critical virus and to call apple support. They listed the number and I no longer have that particular number. I did call the number and they offered me a year of service to protect all devices that are connected to our wifi for $250.00. I did purchase that on January 10th, 2018. The messages disappeared and computer and ipad worked just fine. I received another phone call from an individual, Mike Scott that said he worked for Apple Support and there is someone out of the country using my ip address to do illegal activity and he needed access to my computer. I refused and told him I needed to check to see who he was. I then called apple support and gave them Mike Scott's employee id, the phone number he gave me to contact him as well as his extension and they stated it was for sure a scam. Mike Scott then called me back when I was on the phone with Apple Support and Apple Support told me to tell them that I need a refund, I want to be on their do not call list, I do not want their services, and I would be contacting the BBB. Mike Scott proceeded to tell me that he needed access to my computer to issue me a refund and I declined and he hung up.

This scammer talked me into buying 2 Apple iTunes gift cards in order to fix a problem on my Apple ID account. He informed me in doing so they would automatically put the money back into my checking account linked up with my Apple ID which made sense at the time. Moral of the story they never gave the money back and when I called back they told me “I don’t owe you s***” and hung up the phone on me.

This company contacted me by phone two years ago alleging that they were Apple company, technical support to tell me that my Apple laptop had a various that they detected on the system.

They took control over my laptop, and downloaded a software that costed me $200. After a year, they called me to do the same thing, but I refused because Apple charge lots of money for protected devises against viruses. Eventually, I realized that they are a scame after I had visited Apple Store.

Nowadays, they keep calling me from the above-mentioned number and other numbers that I do not remember now.

All I know about them that they are located in India, which is very famous with defraud.

My mom got a pop up on her ipad telling her that her ipad was compromised and she needed to contact the number 1-877-223-6318. They say that they work for apple (which they don't). They asked for serial number (which she gave) as well as name. They also ask for credit card information so that you can purchase a warranty.
