Applied Cause Reports & Reviews (2)

I was contacted by Sonia via text by 812-613-4108. She asked me to skype interview with Marcel Jenkins, who conducted the interview via skype texting. He informed me that I would be participating in a job briefing and interview. My name, mailing address, email, cell phone number, and work ethic were all requested by the interviewer. The interviewer next asked me about my preferred method of payment (check or direct deposit), if I preferred bi-weekly or weekly pay, and which network service provider and bank I utilized. Later they asked me why I would be a good fit and all those general questions and the person said he was impressed with my answers and forwarded it to his supervisor and 5 mins later told me I was hired and that I would get a Mac book pro to work on and all. They then told me they will send out a startup check under my name to get the equipment from their vendor. Next morning I got the offer letter and they asked me to sign that along with a copy of my DL. I asked them for their physical address but they weren't able to provide one. The person just wanted to send the check to me even before I signed the offer letter or got any background verification done. He then called me and told me not to worry about anything which made me more suspicious. I asked them for their company's information and he said to refer to the website which has no information in it. https://appliedcause.com/
I looked through my indeed, where Sonia said she found my resume and couldn't find the company or my application there. When I asked them for their company's e-verification number, they person stopped replying me. He probably found out that I know they're trying to scam me.

I was contacted via text message via a (970) 703 7583 number on the basis of applying for a business analyst position I had applied for on Indeed, I applied to several jobs of similar titles and did not recall the name of the company for each position. I was told that I was needed for a Chat Interview via Skype. I rarely used skype and was told to download the application and to search for a particular email to be interviewed with. The interview was conducted by someone of a different name and informed me that I would be participating in a job briefing and interview. The interviewer wanted me to tell them about myself: My full name, Mailing Address, Email, Cell Phone, and Work ethic. I provided my first & last name, left out my middle. I provided my mailing address, email, and cell phone number. I began to grow suspicious at this point as I was confused on why they needed my name if I had applied for the job and they were reaching out to me. My name, phone number and one of my emails is on my resume so the questions seemed redundant. The interviewer then questioned me about which form of payment was I comfortable with(check or direct deposit); Bi-weekly or weekly pay; What Network Service Provider I used and what bank I operated with. I answered these questions and it was after these questions that I began to grow and confirm my suspicions by looking at the company's website and seeing how basic and lacking in the information it was and how each person mentioned lacked a last name. I was only given the last name on skype. The interviewer stated that I would be receiving training and orientation documents by the end of the week and payment to purchase items for my mini-office. I didn't give any banking information such as account numbers or anything but I did give my residence/mailing address. I'm glad I started looking into the position because they told me to report back to the chat at 8 am the next morning. I'm going to bring up the issues of not being able to find any in-depth information about the company or its team and its origins. I am reporting this because I could not find the position in my indeed of applied/saved jobs. There was no company listing on indeed for Applied Cause and it was upon that discovery I came here.
