ASTORIA Activewear Reports & Reviews (7)

I ordered products that never came- they kept claiming it was in transit and wouldn’t give me a refund or explanation after a month.

Astoria Activewear is a Chinese company using a US P.O. Box as their contact information and return location/business location. The clothing pictured and described on their website (https://astoria-activewear.com) is not as described or pictured. The clothing is see-through and smaller than the US sizing chart that they provide on their website/specific clothing products. The sports bra pads inside dimple and do not hold shape at all. With barely any effort, I found the same exact items are sold on Amazon for a fraction of the price. Astoria Activewear sells items from China that have their tags removed and rebranded as Astoria Activewear for triple the price. The 3 items I purchased (Leggings in a size S and 2 sports bras in a size S) directly from Astoria Activewear's website regularly cost with no discount or sale $124.98 but on Amazon can be purchased with no discount or sale for $26.59 for both leggings and sports bra together. The companies policy states that if items are returned to Astoria Activewear in Virginia (items actually are drop shipped from China) upon receiving returned items which you pay out of pocket to ship back to them, you will receive a store credit. The store credit can not be combined with any other codes or discounts. The store credit is given in the form of a promo code (percent off purchase) and does cover the amount that was actually spent on their website, therefore you instantly lose money to Astoria Activewear. Since you can use the "store credit" with other discounts, you are unable to purchase the same items as an exchange because it costs you more money than before. Others have complained that they have not even received their store credit and that the company has stopped replying to their emails. Previous complaints towards Astoria Activewear in 2019 indicate that they were giving full refunds to customers and after having many complaints issued against them, they have changed their policies and do not offer refund of any kind which instantly robs you of your money you spent. Astoria Activewear's website does not accept low rated reviews and instantly deletes them. Most of the ratings on their website are 4 star plus and don't mention that the clothing are see-through but on Amazon many reviews include the issue of see-through clothing and include photos to prove it. When you receive tracking information, it does not indicate where the package is coming from, you find out after you have received the package at your home and see the Chinese postal on the package. To return items to them, you are asked to send it to a P.O. Box in Virginia and you are responsible for paying the shipping fees then receive store credit that doesn't equal what you spent. The leggings I received have a location inside them that indicate that the original tags were removed from them. Astoria Activewear should not be allowed to continue to scam people in the way that they have scammed me and many other women who have openly warned people and filed complaints. The specific P.O. Box they use has to my knowledge 4 total individual companies operating from it. Astoria Activewear, Haute Swimwear, Four Clothing Co., and Quic-Fit. Each of those websites include the same exact policies that are copied and pasted in their return section. They include cheap clothing from China that do not fit US women properly, are misleading descriptions/photos and can be found on other websites for a much lower price than what they sell the items for. Whoever owns these multiple companies (which seems to be a Chinese business using US P.O. Boxes) needs to be shut down or needs major adjustments to their clothing, prices and business practices. They are not customer friendly in any kind of way and show unbelievably high levels of greed. Please let this be a warning to all women who are interested in buying from any of their 4 companies, you will not receive what you think you are getting, the sizing is way smaller than average US women and you will not receive your money back from them. For further reference of size issues, I am a size 0-2 in pants (I am about 110 pounds and 5' 3" / athletic/slender) and their website says that a size S in US women size is 4-6 for their clothing. I should fit in a size 4-6 without issues but I could barely get the pants over my thighs and they looked like children's pants/capris when I pulled them out of the package. The sports bras fit me perfectly but the padding dimpled in the middle and looked so weird and disturbing. Due to their issue with sizing, they say you can exchange it, but you have to first send the items back to them and you pay shipping costs, then you use a promo code which doesn't add up to what you spent and you end up spending even more money in the end.

This company deals with a delivery service, PCF Final Mile and they scam people who place online orders. You place an order they fake send your items through this company and you never receive the items. We you reaching to Astoria Activewear to resolve they point the finger at the delivery service and vice versa.

I Joined the ambassador program to get the discount to buy a $60 size medium top that did not match the size description. Paid out of pocket to exchange it. They sent me a $42 exchange code. That won’t cover the price of the top when no sale is going on but I can’t use my exchange code during items a sale so basically my code is worthless because they’re always having a sale. They won’t exchange my top or send me my original back. That have my money and my top and no intentions of honoring my code. I’ve tried to communicate with them but they stop responding.

The seller had no knowledge of order being sent out or if there was even a tracking number. Emails keep coming about receiving a tracking number day after day.

I placed my order March 01, 2021. I contacted Astoria March 08, 2021. They did not respond until March 12, 2021. They stated they would contact me after the got ahold of the warehouse. They contacted me again March 13, 2021stating the order had left the warehouse and to wait 36 hours for a tracking number. Come today Monday March 15, 2021, I have no tracking number and only an email saying they will connect the warehouse again. There is also no phone number to call them. For the purchase of $154.00 I believe this is unprofessional and bad for business with this kind of communication. I cannot get a refund either. This is also an ambassador program and you would better off be buying not on the program than enrolled in it. As an ambassador you get a percentage off but then they change percentages daily so it isn't even worth signing up.

No reply back from customer service and sent faulty products. Site does not allow returns and no reply back when trying to cancel order almost 1 month ago.

In December 2019 I was contacted my company representative with invitation to become an ambassador for ASTORIA Activewear. I was promised to get 10% commission for every order made with my discount code. Not long time after, company provided discount code and organized dashboard where I could find all information including how many orders were placed with my code and how much commission I will receive, everything was done and organized to start working. First, I advertised ASTORIA on Instagram in January 2020. January 13th one of my followers spaced an order that had to become $15.73 commission for me, that had to be transferred to my Paypal account. After that I decided to wait and see how fast I’ll receive commission and if I receive it at all. Today is April 8th and I didn’t get any commission, not even a dollar. I was contacting this company many times since then, sending them emails, asking to transfer me my money. First, they said they actually transferred it and I’ll receive it soon. Then, they asked me to wait a little bit explaining that it takes about a month for commission to be transferred to ambassador but it’s been almost four months already and I didn’t get any commission as well as response to my emails.
