- Powder Springs, GA, USA

This person called claiming I had ordered 2 iphones. He implied that he wanted to ensure that it was me. He wanted to give me a code to cancel the order after I told him that I did not order any iphones. I did not accept the codes. He then hung up. He called back on facetime but I did not answer.

- Daphne, AL, USA

Received a computerized call saying they are from AT&T calling about a discontinued account due to non-payment. Was on hold for several minutes before Jeana answered. Jeana had an international accent and when I asked for her last name the call was dropped. My payments are on automatic pay schedules and a recent payment was made. This is how I knew it was a scam.

I keep getting text messages from AT&T telling me about a free i phone 11. All I have to do is pay $1.00 and give my card number. I have also received texts from UPS and FedEx to deliver the free phone. I have been receiving the texts for about two months. I called all three of these companies. None on this is true.

- Edison, NJ, USA

Was sent a bill through the postal service. We do not use AT&T at all for our business.

When you call the phone number to discuss with someone it gives you the run around with different prompts and there is not a way to speak with someone directly.

This is the second time we received this for the exact same amount of money. $33.59

When I went on the website it stated account not known.

- Macon, GA, USA

Received a letter stating I had unclaimed property (funds). When I called AT&T and they stated the address in the letter was not theirs. The letter asked me to send my name mailing address and contact info with signature to the address in Midland Ill that AT&T says is not one of their locations.

- Saint Marys, GA, USA

I never clicked the number or called it but I have also been getting other scam messages from random email addresses and some look like other school accounts. I responded to the first one with “who is this?” And then I got more and more and more from, so far, 35 different email address.

- Saluda, SC, USA

It’s was a text that was sent to my phone. I knew my payment went through but I checked just to make sure. I didn’t respond or call the number.

i posted a problem i have on my AT&T internet forum and i received the email below. I was unaware and let jim get on my computer via team viewer, my screen went black and within 15 minutes he went on my amazon account and purchase 13 gift cards on my credit cards, 2 went through and also cleaned out my amazon credit. GOD knows what else he stole from my computer. I pray people like this will pay the insufferable price eternal pain.

Taken over the phone by ScamPulse.com Staff SE

A robocall came thru my cell phone and advised me that my phone had been upgraded. When I talked to a customer service representative they told me that an Angeline upgraded my phone. When I told them that I did not upgrade, they hung up. And I called AT&T back and they told me they did not call me.

I contacted what I believed to be AT&T after using the website above on July 7th. After going through what seemed like a customary intro/greeting from a supposed at&t rep, I requested a service address change. I had hoped to continue receiving the same tier of AT&T internet I currently receive, and was told despite the apparent limitations at the new address, they could actually get me the service I was looking for. I was asked for my account info, billing info and social security in full. I felt strange during the call however, and was weary of being asked for my full social. I gave them my info as they sounded like legitimate AT&T reps, but when I received a follow up email asking for more info I knew something was wrong. See attached image. I received an email from a distinctly NON AT&T address, with several dead/ non working links. I called AT&T customer service and was informed my account was accessed on July 7th however no change of address was registered and they could not offer me the service I was promised. In further researching this it seems others have had this scam take place in the past with similarly real looking websites claiming to represent AT&T. I've changed my passwords and locked my credit report on all 3 credit bureau sites.
