Beware!

This seems like a scam. We made 2 different reservations on this website for the first time, and within 30 minutes got a phone call that those cheap seats have been sold out by the airline, and that the only options they had were significantly more expensive, or we could change airports or add stops. Ridiculous. Worse yet, they still have those seats available on their website, 24 hours later, when they know that they are not available. Waste of time!

Bestairfares.com is a scam

Bestairfares.com is a scam, they lure you in with good prices but then find excuses on why they cannot honor the price and try to get you to upgrade to other flights that are much more expensive. Customers beware. On 9/14/22 I purchased 4 non stop flight from their website for $507 per person from RDU to Cancun via American Airline. I went through the entire purchase process with all passenger info and credit card, the website never said anything about tickets not being available. After everything went through I got a call from bestairfares they cannot give me the tickets at this price because AA only has one ticket left at this price, so my option is to either pay over $5000 for 4 to keep the same flight or change to 1 stop flight round trip on delta for a little under $3000 for 4. Either option is acceptable to me. They kept making excuses on how it is not their fault, because AA increased their price, and kept trying to sell me the much higher cost tickets. After talking to both the rep and the supervisor and both giving me the same excuses then trying to force me to buy the higher price tickets I just asked them to cancel my transaction. It took them a while to cancel but in the meantime they continued to try to sell me the higher cost tickets, I was so irritated and fed up with them. It was such a waste of my time. I finally realized they were just a scam, luring you in with lower ticket prices they do not intend to honor then trying to sell you much higher cost tickets to “resolve” the issue. Do not fall for them, book your tickets elsewhere.

All their high reviews are phony. Look elsewhere, as these people are cons, pulling a bait-and-switch to get you to purchase higher priced tickets. Just yesterday (7-13-21) I bought tickets to Orlando via JetBlue, and went thru the whole purchase process, including credit card payment. Total $554 for 2 round trip tix. All good until a couple hours later I get a call and email from them saying those flights are not available, but they can fit me into a similar Delta flight for $893! They finally offered me a $25 voucher for my inconvenience - and were pushing me hard with all the reasons this was a good deal! Wasted a lot of my time, and I'll do all I can to stop them from doing this to others. Ripoff artists and scammers! They kept telling me that the original deal was due to it being a "static web-page". This is crap, and they are still offering the same flights! So far, no credit card charge has been made.

I booked a reservation for a round trip for 2 leaving 6/24 and coming back 6/28.. They Quoted me a price of 744.00$ for me and my fiancé.. I received a email saying they was processing my tickets same day I made the reservation. 2 days later I reached out to best airfares because I had read reviews stating they do the “ bait and switch” and I wanted to make sure the price I was quoted was the price I was gonna me given.. I spoke to Arianna from best air fares who I asked how does the process work? Told her I read they put one price and line and when they confirm your reservation they quote you a way higher price.. Ariana couldn't explain the Discrepancy and I had requested to cancel my reservation.. Arianna tried to convince me that if I couldn’t get the tickets for the original price quoted that I would get it for cheaper.. while on the phone with Arianna I get a email saying “we are sorry the flight you requested is not available” I told Arianna about the email and she said it’s “no more seats available” which was a lie because I checked and both American Airlines and Jet blue was STILL available. Best Airfares in the email stated and new airlines “Delta” with different times for a much higher price of 1100$.. Arianna said delta is the best and you wont get a cheaper price then this.. I said to Arianna “ you knew they was gonna try and up-sale me because you kept mentioning Delta airlines and here it is.. I told her I wanted to cancel my reservation and that I would go else where and that I would be making a complaint to BBB...

On 06/21/2018 I was searching online for the lowest priced airfare for myself and my daughter going from Newark NJ to San Jose Costa Rica. During my search I was directed to Best Airfares who offered a list of fare fitting my criteria for a total of $920 ($460pp) R/T w/ United Airlines. I entered passenger information as well as payment information and immediately received an email thanking me for booking with Best Airfare. I immediately, based on my securing flights, booked and paid for lodging via Airbnb and booked a pet-sitter for the coordinating dates. After about an hour I called (they advertise 24 hour cancellation time frame) their phone number to inquire about a flight leaving a little later in the day as ours was scheduled to leave at 7:20am. I spoke w/ a representative who informed me that there was nothing later that would accommodate me. I thanked him and expressed that it was no problem, I just wanted to check. He then put me on hold and came back to inform me that the tickets/booking that I had already given my credit card number for were no longer available. The airline had increased the prices after I booked and now the same tickets were almost $1000 PER PERSON. I requested s cancellation email and he indicated that they would not be charging me. I do not currently see a charge on my bank account yet, but they are clearly unscrupulous so I will need to continually monitor my account from now on. The best part is if I go online right now and start a new search, based on the same criteria, the very same fares I originally booked and then was denied, are still being advertised and offered-pages of $460 pp fares which they claim aren’t available anymore and that couldn’t honor they are still selling. Note: I could only submit one image, but I have other screenshots as evidence.
