Initial contact for booking the venue with this business was Feb 20, 2023. I was looking for an event location to host my daughter's 5th birthday party. She gave me all the information but did not send an invoice until March 3rd. (Problem 1) This was to pay the deposit but I received all information via Facebook messaging and invoices were emailed late. She failed to keep open communication with me about the event. April 13th I paid the balance for the event but she never communicated with me again until May 31st. All of this time and no contract was delivered, which was completely unprofessional, but one was received the DAY OF the event, to wit: She lied and stated she sent me a contract when I first booked in February and I never signed. I have all proof that this isn't true. Then she demanded my credit card info which I gave because she threatened not to refund me or host the party which, by the way, she said she would not attend to assist or check the building for a preinspection, which is commonplace for most venues. I discovered after gaining access to the building that there was no running water or restroom access for my guests, who happen to be minors. I took it upon myself to publicly let others know about this issue so they can be aware but yet she "asked" me not to report this facility issue which prompted my complaint today. The unprofessionalism, gaslighting, the overall denial of a humane environment for my guests is completely trash. Speaking of trash, I discovered trash cans in the bathroom and the main area had decomposed food, liquids and garbage. Thankfully my chef had water gallons for us to use to clean the filthy facility. I hope Ms. Diamond Gorman fixes these issues and behaves more professionally with her clients. The only attempt to fix the problem was for her to refund me a third of the booking fee (less than the deposit). At this point, I'm going to my bank and reporting the transactions as well because I believe I deserve a full refund. Other people need to not book with this business until she fixes her facilities. It's unsafe and unhealthy.
