Facebook pop up of Bed Bath and Beyond merchandise of towels, furniture, gardening items at huge discounts due to their bankruptcy. Ads were up on Aug. 15, and 16, 2023. I made four separate orders on those days. Scammer continued posting throughout order, "Order and additional $xxx worth of merchandise and an extra 30% will be taken off". Once you met that amount then it stated again, "Order. $... and an extra ...% will be taken off." The first amount was taken off, but not in other purchases. I purchased chairs, tables, towels, juicers, etc. for dramatically reduced prices. I felt it was too good to be true, but continued ordering. Shortly thereafter, I immediately began to investigate knowing it had to have been a scam. I checked my credit card and saw the charges, the scammers location, etc. Their marketing and use of Bed Bath and Beyond logo, etc had me. Once orders were placed, I received confirmation emails on three of the four orders. Questions could be emailed to [email protected]. I did email them to cancel the orders and give me a full refund on the credit card I used. The email was "unable to deliver your message to that address." Some where on the confirmation email showed their copyright C 2023 Bed. The email name of sender just said Bed. They included order numbers, but not tracking numbers. Images stated SALE Bed on the email confirmation Order No.... Placed on Aug 15, 2023. Image showing woman pointing to text Thank you for purchasing and said Order confirmed. "We'll notify you when it's ready". Shortly thereafter I sent the email to cancel all orders. I notified my credit card company and card is locked and dispute claim initiated. When I clicked on View order it took me to Bed Bath and Beyond. Just now I clicked on email View order it took me to Wayfair order detail. Another highlighted link, Visit Our Store was clicked and now it states Wayfair Store Closing sale. New discounts bigger savings 50-90% off. Payment method was asiabilldirect. Scammer has my home address, email, phone number. I did not save my credit card number to their site when placing order, thankfully. Hong Kong location was also on order. "This email was sent by (Bed). Also stated, "Have any questions...contact us at ([email protected].
