- Columbus, OH, USA

I'm 78 years old. I got an email from Facebook ([email protected]) saying Hello, this email is to notify you of a successful login to your facebook account not previously used. If I don't recognize this login to call them at 1-888-345-4999. I called. I talked to a foreign guy, he said he needed more information. He said it would take 45 minutes to cancel the account. I couldn't understand what he was saying. I asked to speak to someone who speaks English. He told me to call back. Then a couple of days later, I got a message saying my login was reset. I don't have a Facebook page.

When trying to install Facebook marketplace on my facebook account, there were issues. A thread from others online saying the same thing led me to a toll free number. The person who answered said they were facebook support and could help. However, they wanted money to run a scan. I said no and hung up.
