(Scammer) Hi Stephanie, Do you have a moment? I have a request that I need you to handle. I'm going to a meeting now, no calls, just answer my mail. Regards Walter Shikany

(Scammer) Here's what I want you to do for me because I'm a little busy right now. I aimed at surprising some of our diligent staff with gift cards. This should be Confidential until they all have the gift cards as it's a surprise and you will keep one for yourself too. Can you get this done and how soon?
(My reply) I make it happen today, if needed, I just need the details. How many do you want and how much?
(Scammer) Good, I need 10 Pieces of $100 each for an Apple Gift card. You can get them from any nearest store close to you also you will be reimbursed before the end of today I assure you of this. Kindly keep this to yourself Since we both know it's to come as a surprise till they all have it. Let me know if you can get the purchase done. Thanks

(My reply) You do know, I’m not stupid and know this isn’t Walter as he passed away several years ago…..
After hitting send, I blocked the email address.
I found out later in the afternoon everyone at my previous employer's office received this email.
