Farris Andrew,

OMG! I guess right now I'm his latest "victim" Thanks to my son for pushing me to look further into who this person is and to God and all of u for speeding out about him on this website. I knew it was to good to be true. Unfortunately for him I just saw this now before going to my bank tomorrow morning and depositing a check for $3680 of which $600 is supposed to be mine. Same B.S. about art and traveling and needing someone to handle his mail for him. I guess I sent out my resume in "bulk" on Careerbuilder and this was his responding email..

Dear Applicant,

Thanks for responding to the job post advert on CareerBuilder. I want to believe and hope I am dealing with an honest person because I usually would not hire anyone this way but I urgently need the services of a Personal Assistant due to my very busy schedules.

My name is Farris Andrew, I am an Artist and I travel frequently to do and sell Artworks. I also buy Artifacts, antiques and materials from ancient cities and I have got so many clients, such as companies, individuals, governmental institutions and private museums. I have been successful in my Art business, I get involved in several art businesses and exhibitions in the United States, Canada, Europe and most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy personal assistant.

Every instruction will be given to you via email and SMS for now until l am back. I travel a lot so that is the main reason why l needed you to be my personal assistant and l want you to commence work immediately.

If you accept my offer, I will need you to take charge of my mail pickups and drop off, all errands will be in your city/town so it is not a must you have a car, but if you do it might be a plus. When you get my mails/packages, you will be required to mail them to where I want them mailed too. The content of the packages will be business and personal mails.

Position Duration: Part-Time
Pay: $600/Weekly

If you're interested in the offer, I have a lot of pending assignments that need to be handled and I believe these tasks are simple tasks which you can carry out following the adequate provided instructions and will provide you with sufficient funds for every task to run my personal assistant errands.

So beware!

I received an email for Personal Assistant. Sounded too good to be true so I checked for this person on LinkedIn and FB and there wasn’t a single person with that name. I then googled and came across this site. He didn’t ask for anything other than to fill out a typical application.

The person by the fictitious name of Ferris Andrew contacted me with the same email, tried to demand that I give him my Username & password. Thanks so much for posting these messages. Or I would’ve been taken advantage of too.

I received an email from [email protected] saying I have been shortlisted for a personal assistant. In the email, there is a link to the employment info with a suspicious task of purchasing a $30 money order FROM MY BANK. You do not need to purchase $30 money order from your bank. You can purchase at grocery stores such as Kroger's or Walmart. I did not give any of my information.

I received an email today about the position of a personal assistant. I thought it strange that the position does not require an interview and found the description of duties questionable. "Working with me is basically about instructions and following them...I travel a lot and get my hands occupied because I work with other companies in and out of the state, so it is imperative for me to have a Trustworthy Personal Assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my personal activities...I am constantly out of town and presently in Canada. I will return to the States after the global pandemic, so this process will be ongoing till then. If you don't mind, I will meet up with you when I return and we can discuss the possibility of making this long term if you are fast and honest with your errands..." One of the skills required is "Utmost Respect." "Honesty, Loyalty and Commitment is my watchword. Be Safe!" Needless to say, I did not respond. Beware!

I just received the email. I figured he wanted to see what account I deposit the check in because it shows it on the back when you gain a photocopy. I will not respond thanks to you properly reporting this. Thank you.

I received an ad from CareerBuilder suggesting a part time job as a personal assistant handling various day to day things that were needed,He offered the position and said he would be sending a company check to cover his needs and include the salary for the week 10-15 hours. The check arrived and was deposited and I was informed by my bank it had cleared 3 days later, My good feelings were short lived after I had used a sizable amount to do the things Farris Andrew required of me,I received a notice that the check he sent was Fraudulent/Altered and the funds were removed from my account.I immediately contacted Mr Andrew who seemed shocked,Im sure it was an act, he promised to replace the money, asked what he needed to give back through several messages back and forth,NOW, nothing no response. Im not sure if this is the same individual that is on LinkedIn who owns the construction business and seems very successful and philanthropic, but the implication is there, either way, its a terrible thing. Anyone who see's this name should stay away and share it with this site to inform others,im going to follow up at LinkedIn as well

Facebook ad asking for a Part-time, work from home personal assistant. Emailed asking for name, address and phone number and then two days later texts saying that the check would be in mailbox that same day. Once check was received, it was for well over what the weekly pay was supposed to be and I was told to deposit it, take my weekly pay and he'd give me further instructions as to where to send the rest.

Did you deposit the check? I’ve been contacted by him as well but I’m not sure I want to deposit it
