Federal Student Loan Center Reports & Reviews (9)

I have been recieving at least one phone call a day from the Federal Student Loan Center which is a bogus organization. I don't know how they got my cell phone number. The irony is that I don't have a student loan. They call from a different number each day and the number can't be called back. I have gotten someone on the phone who promptly hangs up on me each time I say I don't have a student loan. Do not allow them to keep calling others.

Thet continously call and text to "lower student loan payments." I've requested to be taken off of their list a dozen times and they won't stop calling and texting.

tried to tell me that I owe $14000 in student loans from Federal Student Loan Center. I do have student loans but not with that company.

i answered a couple calls when i first started getting them and asked MULTIPLE times to be put on the 'do not call" list and they obviously never did. after missing almost 20 more missed calls after the last time i asked them never to call i decided to ask how they got my name. the only thing the guy could say was "well you have a student loan right" I said "yea" and he replied with "there's your answer", which didn't answer my question AT ALL!! all i want is to not be called once or twice a day by this number!! next time i get a call im wasting YOUR time and talk in a tongue they can barely understand and see how they like being bothered.

I have received several calls from The Federal Student Loan Center. They indicate they have found funds to assist me with paying off my loan, or that they can have my loans forgiven. The contact center is obviously in India or Pakistan- if you stay on the line they will transfer you to someone in the US to finish up the call. This person asks for loan information, SSN, and more. Then explains that by paying XX.XX they can assist you with loan forgiveness. The first time they called I allowed the lady to transfer me to someone who I have explained to each representative that I do not need their help, and wish to have my number removed from their lists. I did not disclose my SSN. I have since requested to be removed from the list a total of 25 times- each time they disconnect the call, while saying they will remove me. I have asked if they are associated with the ** *** ** *** and have been advised they are, but this is inaccurate. I want my name removed from the list or I will pursue for damages to the fullest extent of the law.

The scammer called with my credit report in hand and stated that he was calling in regards to renewing my student loan forbearance. He then asked me for my student loan FSA Id, which I could not remember. He then asked for my Social Security number which I gave him.

The caller then tried 4 different eMail addresses which I supplied, thinking that he had to be legit since he had my credit info.

I found that if he had been legit, the second eMail address I gave him would have gotten him in.

He then asked me for the info that I used to retrieve my password from my student loan account if I had forgotten the password, which I gave him. He then said he was not able to get in, gave me his phone number and transferred me to the FSA after asking me to call him back as soon as I was able to get the info from my account.

In speaking with the actual FSA I learned that they would never ask for my FSA Id because they already have it. They would never ask for the email address since they already have that also.

Looking up the telephone number on Google I found that there have been 161+ reports on this number all of which are negative.

This got complicated as I had to change the password for my FSA account and then I called my bank and also had all the information changed there so that now I have to remember 2 passwords to get into my account.

Federal student loan processing center, repeatedly calling from different numbers despite the fact I am on the national do not call registry and have requested to be put on their do not call list at least five times. They call me up to four times a day. Obviously a scam, requesting I pay money for help with student loan debt and posing as a federal agency when they have no affiliation with the government. Completely sick of this.

Left me a message on my cell phone:

"Hello this is Sean with the federal student loan processing center just giving you a quick call regarding the reduction of your student loans just wanted to give you a quick reminder that the federal funding supporting any rate or balance reduction for student loans is going to expire soon so it's pretty urgent that we speak to you right away." then left the phone number 1-888-240-1489 but the missed call was from 1-888-340-1489.

I recv'd a voicemail from Mike in regards to reduction of student loans, letting me know federal funding supporting rate or balance reduction of student loans is going to expire soon and it was urgent I call. I have 2 specific companies that have my student loans, they only contact me by mail. I did not return the call.
