FFFenterprises Reports & Reviews (1)

I received an email about an invitation to interview from Aaron Phillips and the company name under his name was fffenterprises. The message ended up in my spam, which should have been my first red flag, but I've applied to multiple jobs in the last few weeks and I've made my Linkedin profile open to recruiters, so I thought I was being sought out and it was sent to spam by accident. Also, a few days before, I received a different, cryptic email about a job, but it turned out to be legit, so I thought that maybe it was another one like that. Anyway, I searched the company and the position and it was legit, but I also searched the person's name and they didn't exist. I figured they might keep their Linkedin profile private or don't have one (less likely in this day and age). Anyway, I replied back that I had concerns about the position stating pacific time zone and I was in central and whether it's flexible. The person replied to that by saying that I can find out the information in a PDF they attached. I opened it and that was probably a mistake, but it said all the benefits and a very nice compensation of $40/hr (too good to be true). I still wanted to check it out. The PDF said to download Wire (apparently a secure messenger) and to contact the interview manager named Tyler Rouston, @tylerrouston. So I did, and the conversation seemed okay and I only gave my full name and city and state, but nothing beyond that, but after he mentioned the position will pay $60/hr, I realized this could be BS because it didn't match up with what the PDF claimed. Luckily, they used a profile photo in the app, so I reverse searched it on Google and I found a profile on Linkedin with that photo, but a totally different name (Daryl Mitchell), and the person was a Programmer Analyst in Canada, not a hiring manager in the US. That's when I decided that even if it was legit, it wasn't worth it, so I deleted my Wire account and the app and decided to report the email to Google, and the whole situation here. I also emailed the actual company to confirm if it was real, but my hunches tell me it's not, but I haven't gotten a response yet.
