Constant calls even after asking to be put on do not call list. Website doesn’t exist. Different numbers from different states

The scammers called 50 times in a four hour stretch and kept insisting they were trying to help me get free money/funding on behalf of the Financial Aid Department. They coached me on what answers I should give the "next representative" but could not tell me who they were working for. I was told they would not ask for personal info but they wanted to know income levels and some health care details, so I hung up - repeatedly.

They told me they were financial aid they were trying to get me a check sent in the mail tomorrow what was my address where did I live how many kids did I have who did I claim what was my social security number and I believe it till the end when they asked the social security number and I said it and it was too late what can I do now

On 10/13/2021, a lady named Kate Grady called me from the number (469)-217-8024 and left me a voicemail saying she was from "Financial Aid" and stated "if you could give me a call her back at (855)-958-6188. I'm calling because I'm not sure if you received a notice that went out recently regarding your student loans but either way I don't want your prequalified status to change especially in the qualifications for loan forgiveness or possible loan discharge. So if you have a few minutes, I'd like to go over details with you." I called her back today. An automatic response stated "our records show you were recently contacted by one of our enrollment specialists. If you have more than $5,000 in federal student loans, press 1 now to be connected to one of our live representatives.". So I pressed 1, and was connected to a guy named Chris, who asked me to confirm my name and DOB. He then asked if I have more than $8,000 in student debt, to which I replied yes. He then said he would connect me with their loan specialist Andrew and said the phone call was being recorded. Andrew knew my name, DOB, home address, and he knew FAFSA email. He told me that in order to see if I qualified for loan forgiveness that I needed to change my FAFSA password to 'Student1' so he could access my account and work with me. He said I could change my password back anytime if I changed my mind. He then said he needed to put me on hold to see what if I qualify for the program. He gave me his call back number in case we got disconnected, which is (949)-284-0829. While I was on hold, the call disconnected. I called back several times but was unable to reach him, it kept giving a busy signal. I sensed something was off and got nervous it was a scam, so I immediately changed my FAFSA password to something different.

I called Great Lakes and placed an incident report. I called FAFSA and did the same. They told me to contact you guys and file fraud report. I don't want to be a victim of identity theft. I feel like an [censored] for falling for this scam. I'm nervous they have access to my information and could steal my identity.

I did not share any bank account information or my social security number. They did not give me any of their contact information either. I don't know their address or emails.

I received three calls, just today, from someone claiming they were offering free financial aid. It screamed scam. They all called from different numbers and from all over the country. I have told each agent, Thank you, I am not interested and please remove me from your list". Then they hang up without a word.

After I received so many today, I asked politely to speak to a supervisor.

The man claimed his name was Austin Williams, and I explained the situation is a calm and clear manner.

He said, What the hell can you do"

I advised, "If you do not remove me from your list, I will report you to the BBB."

The argument continued and he threatened to give my information to ALL his agents and have them call me more.

I told him this was pointless and that they needed to stop harrassing me.

the finale was him saying, "You are a [censored]ing B*tch and you will Suck my D*ck". Then he hung up.

- Columbus, OH, USA

I received six calls today and seven calls yesterday from Jonathan, Aaron, Andrew, all of whom have Indian accents. They say they are a financial aid company, offering me money, that I don't have to pay back. They say my name and number is on their list. I don't need to give them banking or credit card info, they need home address and home phone number. They said they would mail me information. They are calling on my cell phone. I asked them to take me off their list, and stop calling.
