- Kenosha, WI, USA

Firehouse promotions is a SCAM they called our agency and wanted us to be a part of local Kenosha Firefighters for 8 x 10 paper(with 4 small magnets for each corner) we paid $700 for a 1/4 with our business card. They were very persistant and stated that they were holding a spot for us, which they would call 2x or 3x a day until we agreed to go ahead, based on them stating the local City of Kenosha Fire Department also were involved.

NOT there were 4 spots on an 8 x10 cardboard sheet...as I indicated in each corner , small magnet glued on WE PAID $700 and would like a REFUND BACK ON THIS

Shame on companies that do this, and use the local firefighters as BACK UP

I received a call from a guy who said he was from the local fire dept and he was selling ad space on a magnetic dry-erase board. When I returned his call he handed me off to a woman who had knowledge of the local fire dept and street names. I agreed to purchase an add for $500 ang gave her my debit card #. A few days went by without an email confirmation from them, but FIREHOUSE PROMOTIONS charged my account the $500. I contacted our local fire dept and they said they are not involved with any such promotion. I immediately reported it to my bank.

I'm not sure I provided the correct type of scam.

I received a phone call from a company called Fire House promotions. They stated they were calling on behalf of our local fire department and wanted us to advertise on their magnet. This was a magnet for emergency services. We are an appliance repair company which typically is not top of list for emergency services. Living in this area, I have never seen such a magnet given out at any functions where the fire department is there. And the cost of the ad was expensive. 2" x 2" was $500 and 2" x 4" was $700.

I googled the company name and found a ScamPulse.com alert which described exactly what was said to me on the phone. Just wanted to alert the ScamPulse.com that this was happening in the local area.

She said her name was Sandy and she left a call back number of 309-277-0893.
