FirstEnergy Imposter Reports & Reviews (1)

I received a call on Thursday April April 21 on my cell phone. I answered the call at about 8:00 P.M. A person was on the line. He said he was with FirstEnergy. His name was James Hudson. He said he was calling from 216-302-0148. He said they were cutting off my electricity in ten minutes. He told me I had not paid my bill. My bill was only three days overdue. I had forgotten. He wanted me to send the money by phone. I tried to sign on my computer. I was unable to get into my computer. He did not ask for any personal information. He told me to go to Walgreens and get a Money Pack card for $189.13. He told me make it personal and they would charge less money. My actual bill was $100 less. I went to Walgreens. I explained the situation at Walgreens. The clerk got the manager. The manager used to work for First Energy. The manager called James Hudson to get his ID number. Then he called FirstEnergy. A woman from FirstEnergy spoke with me. FirstEnergy told me it was a scam. They do not have an employee by that name. The manager called the scammer and told him off. I went to the Walgreens at 16803 Lorain Rd. Cleveland. I am very gratful to Walgreens for helping me. They saved me from being ripped off. I was to call him back with a fourteen digit number. That is how he would have gotten the money. I normally don't answer call from anyone I don't know. I told several of my friends to warn them.
