We have been contacted several times by the Forward Movement Recovery "company" telling us there was a Quick Pay Loan taken out and funds were transferred directly to a Bank of America account and they were given charge of collecting the funds back. They gave us a date of the transaction, the last 4 numbers of a bank account number and a FULL 9 digit social security number. The only thing that was true about all of this was the social security number which made it really scary. They continued to call over and over giving us names of people to call back to get more information and their extension numbers for direct contacts. When we called the numbers supplied someone answered making it all seem even more real and not a scam. Somehow they got my cell number even though the collection was under my husbands name and they didn't have his cell phone number. (When you call their number, 877-452-0424, they call themselves "FMR:)

They call to try to collect a loan from you, stating that you claimed it at such and such time (Ex. 2008) but that's all they tell you. They don't give you specific dates, nor do they have paperwork to show you and when I mentioned the BBB they hung up on me.

A recorded message called asking for my son, but had his last name wrong. This has happened several times in recent weeks. The caller has his first name but my x-son-in-law's last name. I called back and was connected to a very rude man called Dan who refused to let me speak and insisted he needed to talk to my son (who is mentally challenged). When I told Dan that the whole issue sounded like a scam since my son does not handle his own finances, he slammed the phone down. Each time I have called back the phone was either not answered or cut off.

My mother contacted in early February, 2016 saying that they were looking for information to reach me in regard to a debt that I owed and by law they could make this contact. I know better than to believe this but I did get upset for a minute and called them since they had contacted my mother. The company said that I had taken out a loan several years ago, and that Lazer Lending had bought the loan and they were now trying to collect on it. They said the collection company name is Forward Movement Recovery, and the phone number they called me from was 877-515-7894. The scary part is that they had my mother's contact information, the last 4 of my social, work history, etc. After I hung up with them and started thinking about it, I realized that the dates were all wrong and none of this was on my credit report. I had asked them to send me something in writing with the loan origination date, the originating company, etc. A few days later they sent me a generic letter saying it was from February of 2016 which I know is wrong. The phone number they said I should call is 877-350-2142. Anyway, these people are getting more elaborate in their scare tactics. I got another message from 877-514-6763 saying they are looking for me and the same information they gave my mother.
