I follow my credit union on Facebook and they were doing an Easter guess the amount of jelly beans in a jar and whoever won got $25. I got a notification from " Credit Union" (with the same Facebook picture that the legit Facebook page has) that I had won and that I needed to click the link which brought you to a page with the same jelly bean picture and marketing info as the legit Facebook page had. They said you had to register and put a credit card on file which I was going to assume they were going to credit you $25. I got a call from my credit card company asked if I gave the okay. I did say it was okay but then when I got home, I went on my computer and realized that it was a fake Facebook page that had contacted me and immediately went on my credit cards site and locked my card , disputed the charges that were made and am now getting a new card. Later in the night , I got an email from this company FRUUST.COM which is a streaming service and the email was signed Suavedevelopoment Inc. which I googled and found out that there were other people who got scammed in very different but sneaky seemingly legitimate ways. This is BAD! I learned my lesson and hope this company can get shut down some how.

I was notified on Facebook that I won a sweepstakes but in order to claim my prize I had to sign up for a free movie/music service. I did but then realized it was a scam. I asked them to cancel my account, they said they did but they didn't and someone tried to make an unauthorized purchase but I had my card locked so they were unable to.

fruust comes up in the process of signing up for GasBuddy app on my phone. it was NOT apparent that this was a subscription scam. neither fruust or GasBuddy were honest and transparent about it. there was no obvious way to opt out or to sidestep the fruust sign-up

I got a link in email from my son’s baseball coach to sign up and Verfy my son’s account info with usssa baseball. When I went to the site, there was a start button at the top of the page and I clicked start thinking it was the start of the process. It asked for info including email and card to verify and start my membership. I thought this was a membership for the usssa baseball and not some kind of subscription service. It said my card would not be charged. This was very misleading being on a website that you register at. I did not realize it was an add until my wife asked my about the charges and I went back and saw there was a small add indicator far to the right next to another set of works that made the start button look like it was a separate thing. I have tried to cancel and the number and email address they have does not work.

I signed up for a subscription streaming service. It has a 5 day free trial period and it’s 39.00 a month after. I didn’t like the content so I tried to cancel. You can only cancel through a contact form or email. I have not received any confirmation of receipt or cancellation from them.
