Game Shop Reports & Reviews (10)

I have no idea what game shop is have I never ever ever even been on the game shop website store whatever the heck it is. However Alex [email protected] invoiced me for $226 for something I never even ordered. They sent it to me on my PayPal which I have never used actually used in February I have no money on it I don’t even know how they got me to have an invoice in my account and then sent me a scam phishing email. However I didn’t get my lawyer and I did talk to PayPal and they said that this is very common of them especially during Covid times so I don’t know if someone is impersonating him being GameShop or if they actually do these shady practices so just be careful everyone because they be trying to take peoples money who don’t even get stuff from them. Also if this isn’t you game shop then y’all need to attack this issue because it is hurting your reputation I would never buy some thing from game shop now.

I ordered two Nintendo games and when I got the confirmation of the purchase, it said it was shipping from China when the website said it was stationed out of Pennsylvania. I needed the games for Christmas so I cancelled the same day for a refund which didn't give them enough time to send me an email confirming shipping. Both the phone number and the email address didn't work so I did a little research. In my confirmation payment from Paypal, it says that the money went to the Franchise Store Online with an email: [email protected]. When I used this email, it was attached to a Chinese name. They confirmed my order and cancellation and said they would refund me. Originally they said it would take 7-15 business days. When that time passed and I got nothing, I emailed them. They said they had technical difficulties and would try again but would take another 15 days. I waited again and when I saw nothing, I emailed them again. They said the payment was frozen and that I would have to wait. I decided to go to Paypal's resolution center for them to help me get my refund. I thought it would be a straight forward process where I would easily get my refund. I downloaded my evidence/ receipts of my payment going through, the merchant cancelling my purchase and promising a refund. After a few days, Paypal denied my claim in favor of the merchant but said I could try to appeal. I did try and was denied again so I decided to try calling Paypal to talk with someone to try to figure out what the merchant was saying and what evidence I was missing where Paypayl would be in the merchant's favor. I got an automated answering machine and just kept saying "customer service" until it directed me to an actual person. They were able to look at my claim in the resolution center, they looked at my evidence and agreed that I should get a refund. I got an email from Paypal and a notification from my resolution center where Paypal closed the case in my favor and will refund me in 3-5 days. In conclusion, the resolution center is unreliable. Use it to download your evidence but then after a few days, maybe after your claim is denied, call and talk to a real person for them to actually look over it.

I searched on Google for a PS5. This site came up as "Game Shop," which I mistook for Game Stop. It was designed to look like the Game Stop site, with the same colors and design. It offered a PS5, so I clicked on it, and ordered it, still believing I was on the GameStop site. When I received the confirmation email, I saw that it came from China, and that the URL was actually clozerecreoline.us, notgamestop.com. I immediately tried to call the customer service number on the website, 775-691-7592, and found that it was not a real number. I then emailed the customer service email on the website ([email protected]), and the email bounced back as undeliverable. I then looked at their Privacy Policy, which is a generic template with many blanks not filled out (for example, it says[[INSERT ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU COLLECT: OFFLINE DATA, PURCHASED MARKETING DATA/LISTS]]). I then did a search for the actual URL online and found several other victims of the scam reporting that they were also fooled into believing this was Game Stop, and that they had been scammed out of hundreds of dollars. I filed a PayPal dispute, and the seller responded from the email address [email protected]. They claimed that they had in fact shipped my PS5, and provided a tracking number. A few days later, the "package" corresponding with the tracking number arrived, and it was a tiny, empty envelope with nothing in it (certainly not the PS5 I paid for). They had tried to avoid having PayPal reverse the charge by sending a fake package. This website is insidious and fake.

I order a Playstation 5 for $408. Received confirmation email from seller, then no contact. I tried to log back into the account I set-up when I purchased the item, my email address.. mind you the email the confirmation was sent too.. was no found.
I sent a message directly to the customer service address [email protected] on the website.. Delivery Failure. I have already placed a claim with PayPal.. and waiting for resolution.

I found this scammer as I was searching for a PlayStation 5 (408.00) as I thought it said Game Stop but instead it was Game Shop. I never received a tracking number and the number does not work. Just submitted a claim to PayPal.

Spent $160 on a Nintendo switch for my son's Christmas present. Tried to call the number which didn't work not in service. So then I tried to email them at the email address that's listed on their website and it's not a legitimate email. I used PayPal I had to file a claim after I receive no tracking or any other emails from them after the initial one saying that I bought it. I really hope that PayPal comes through for me and reimburses me the money if not my son is not going to have anything for Christmas as I am on disability and I fixed income I hate scammers.

I found the scammer when I searched for a Nintendo Switch OLED. They came up as "Game Shop" in my phone search but I read it wrong and thought it was "Game Stop." The website was actually "clozerecreoline.us/" and is set up like Game Stop's website. I realized my mistake 5 minutes later and tried to call but the number doesn't work. I contacted PayPal and they held my money and are now looking into it.
