Type of a scam Romance
LA & opening a new teashop in LA. He would always have an excuse as to why we couldn't see eachother. We
texted daily & he would sometimes talk about crypto trading. He offered to teach me & even though I wanted to
learn in person, he insisted it was easy through text. So we started using an app he sent me called GIC. I would
buy Ethereum on the Crypto app & withdraw the funds to deposit on GIC. Since I saw the numbers growing & he
told me I could withdraw whenever I wanted, he convinced me to get a loan. Then we got in an argument, because
I wasn't going to wait any longer to see him. We did a final "trade" of the entire funds & the next day, it showed
that it was a full loss. Then he ghosted. I found out the app was fake after watching a Youtuber talk about the same
exact experience, only with a different app. Apparently, this scam is called Pigbutchering.
