3 days later I visited the site again, chatted for a while, asking more questions. Although my gut feeling was telling me this is not real, I fell for it. They asked to register, and I did. Soon after I got a real-looking bill of sale and invoice. next day, I wired them the money.
I was buying the boat for my parent who are in their late 80's to enjoy their time during the pandemic, and I wanted it be real OR may be I convinced myself that it was real...
I wired the money on 4/28/2021, and within few hrs. received an email that the boat has been shipped, and that it would be delivered within 3-5 days. The email included a tracking progress, showing 34 hrs. to delivery. after 5 days, and no boat, tried to reach out to GlantuMotors, but their phone was out of service, no chat dialogue, no email response.
I searched the internet and found articles posted by "The Hull Truth Boating Forum" on May 2, 2021, highlighting some of the web site discrepancies, and basically pointing to the fact that GlantuMotors was a scam.
I've contacted my bank, FBI, and other agencies to put these scammer in jail. Will they ever be caught, and pay for their crimes?
I searched the internet for any negative new, but didn't see any.
