PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY WIRE TRANSFERS TO MEXICO FOR THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL ONLY LOSE YOUR MONEY...They are very convincing. Robert will pretend to be your friend...He will promise that his company has lawyers in Mexico that can help you...all lies...I lost money by wiring to another company Golden Crest Consulting Group and I then received a call from Global Business consulting offering me more than the closing company Golden Crest Consulting Group was supposed to get for me. I believe the companies are working in conjunction. The company that contacted me before Golden Crest Consulting Group was Bradshaw Consulting Group in Chicago. All of the companies mentioned here are fradulent. I lost money with all of the companies. I did not do the proper homework.. I repeat, the people that will contact you sound very professional and convincing. I repeat once again HANG UP THE PHONE. I was convinced by the Bradshaw Group to send $9,950 to a bank in Mexico. I was told all kinds of convincing stories...DO NOT LISTEN IF YOU DON'T HANG UP THE PHONE...I will be filing a similar complaint about the other two companies that I believe Global Business Consultants are working with... Back to Global Business Consultants...Robert Welch is the person claiming to be the broker and he is very friendly. Do not be fooled by his friendly manner...After he convinced me that his company was not like the other companies I had dealt with and I would only have to send $4800 and that would take care of everything and in the end the buyers the company was working with would reimburse me that money along with $78,500.00 for the sell of my Vidanta Timeshare to them...Well, he called by just like the other company saying that I would have to send $5,579.00 to cover fees. I was very upset because he had told me that I would not have to send anymore money. Next thing I know I was contacted by someone named Mark Rossman saying that he was Robert Welch's Project manager and Robert had been suspended for a few weeks and I could no longer speak with him...I did not send the $5,579.00 because a banker would not send it...He told me that the company I was dealing with was a scammer. I could go on and on...Bottom line is I have been scammed out of nearly $15,000 hard earned dollars in an attempt to be free of the timeshare....DONT'T LISTEN....IF YOU DO LISTEN...DO NOT SEND MONEY IN A WIRE TRANSFER...YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1

I wish I had read these reports before. I was contacted in September then in October and the firm seemed real on the web. I was told they had a buyer and I had to wire money to Mexico for the tax and fees. The buyer would refund me later. I was given 2 references one from Florida and the other Arizona whom I phoned and who said they had sold their time share in 6 weeks with GBC. Then 2 weeks later I am told that there is a special tax that has to be sent, this was on November 7th otherwise if I cancelled I would have to pay more fees, I sent more money unfortunately. They then sent me a letter saying there would be no more fees but on November 13th they asked for a legal fee. I did not send it but contacted a lawyer at the Embassy of Mexico who told me it was a scam and that he received 3-4 complaints involving time share scams every week and that the only way to sell was to see a real estate firm in Mexico where they do not make you pay before the sale. He said the best thing was to ignore them now and not answer the phone. It is scary the way GBC tell you they will charge you even more if you cancel. I have placed a report with the FBI through IC3.gov but they do not verify individual companies.

We receive a call from Michael Gallagher of Global Business Consultants (GBC) in NY (646 974 8201) saying he had a buyer for our timeshare in Mexico and sent us an offer to purchase which we signed. We then got copius pages of legal documents which included a clause with a subtantial penalty if either party cancelled the contract. The only cost to us was his commission of 8% due at closing. The contract required an upfront payment for F.I.P. and closing costs with assurance that it would be reimbursed by the buyer. Any further costs would also be reimbursed by the buyer and placed into an escrow account under our name at citibanamex (Grupo Financiero Banamex S.A. de C.V. at 88 Av. Rio Mixcoac, Del Benito Juarez, C.P. 03230 CDMX, Mexico). We made the payment and asked for a Statement of Account. The statement had citibanamex letter head and showed that the sale price and the F.I.P.(Foreign Investment Permit and closing costs had been deposited. At this point we were told that we would be paid out by the weekend. A few days later we received notice that the buyer tried to pay the State Tax but due to recent changes in Mexican government policy they had to be paid by the seller. (received a very official looking document with a big rejected stamp). After talking to the broker he sent us a new Statement of Account showing the buyer had deposited funds for the Tax so we reluctantly paid the it. Before each payment it was emphasized that we just needed to send the payment so that they could get us paid out. Then, once again, no $ but a phone call advising that "due to changes in Mexican policy which they did not know" we needed to pay for Legal and Recording and Administrative Closing. We caved and after receiving a Statement of Account showing the buyer had deposited the funds sent the money on assurance that the deal would close in the next couple of days. We tried calling the bank several times (011521-559-140-6625) getting a recording in very rapid Spanish??? We informed the broker of this and he set us up with a conference call. We spoke to someone who had access to the account # and he confirmed the deposits and balance. Then a few days later we get a call from the broker and receive a very official looking document, complete with watermark seal, (from Lic. Carlos Tovar Ruiz, Central Office, Mexico City, Ministry of Finance and Public Credit Tributary Administration Service) informing us the funds had been seized and we needed to pay a customs clearance required by the Secretariat of Tax Administration (SAT) in order for the funds to be released. The broker advised us that the buyer had already deposited funds for the Tax which we confirmed by getting another Statement of Account and having the broker set up another conference call with the bank. A few minutes later we called the bank # directly, answered in Spanish then converted to English and we recognized the voice as being the same person on the conference call. I now believe the number to be a cell number - never had a bank answer on a cell???? Having done some initial due diligence we did again and now found on the ScamPulse.com site a complaint about this company detailing the same scenario as our experience. We spoke to a lawyer who confirmed it was a scam and directed us to various timeshare scam forum sites, the ScamPulse.com and FTC some of which named GBC with the same scenario. We informed the broker that we were aware that this was a scam and no further funds would be sent. He, of course, denied this and said he would be drawing up papers to the effect we were cancelling the agreement. We said he could do what he wanted, this was a SCAM, we wanted no further calls from him, hung up and blocked the number.

additional info - they used website address (global-businessconsultants.net) in some correspondence and (global-businessconsultants.com) in others. I see now that the .com comes up as can't find this page.

Global Business Consultants is a total scam. We were initially contacted in early August by a "Daniel Camp" representing Global Business Consultants and asked if we were interested in selling our timeshare in Mexico. We were offered $46,150 and sent a contract. Then the requests for bank wires started and we would be reimbursed by the seller. Each time a bank statement from Banorte Cross-Border Division was sent showing a deposit from the "buyer". There was the time share "transfer expense" (which is in our original time share contract), then a 16% Mexico tax, then commission and closing cost. Then a Paul Banner called from accounting saying things were ready to close but our last funds wire had not arrived, they would track it down. Weeks later after calling several times and being assured things were getting worked out we get a call from a Mark Rossman that things are resolved and they are wiring the money. After several calls with this Mark Rossman with him saying he is having a problem with the bank getting wires out an additional funds wire was needed for a "Release Fee" and a document in Spanish from the bank. At this point I knew this was all a scam. At the start I did search for company information and checked the ScamPulse.com site and it only had one issue, was assured by Daniel that it was being resolved. I even requested business license numbers and Daniel sent his and the one for Global Business Consultants which checked out on the New York eAccessNY web site. All of this happened over a span of three months.

Global Business Consultants contact Mexico time share owners wanting to know if they would like to sell their time share. GBC states that you only have to pay a small fee to establish a Mexico tax number and Banorte bank account. Later they want the Mexico IVA tax (16%). A the end of the contract, but before seller has received any funds they want their 8% commission. Each step of the way GBC asks for additional wire transfers to Banorte. Property never closes and seller is out all their wire transfer funds.

After Daniel made initial contact to my husbands cell phone, he asked for our email address so he could make us a formal offer. He offered to buy our Mexican timeshare for 28,700 dollars. It was for a client who wanted a tax write off. We produced our bill of sale, which clearly indicated what we paid for it. $13,000.00 USD. After back and forth telephone calls, he said they had to do a title search. Voila! The title was clear! So now we had to pay a transfer fee of 4400.00 USD for our company to release the title. He didn’t require any money up front. He was going to put the money to pay us in a trust and reimburse us the 4400.00. When I called our company, they confirmed it is a scam.

I was contacted by a person named Tarek S. Mosursy in regards to a timeshare that I own in Mexico. They offered an elevated amout to buy it so, I went on ScamPulse.com website to check for scams. I'm glad I did. Total scam!

They called me about a time share membership I have down in Mexico, Grand Mayan Resort.

I have a 26 week contract of a Studio condo there.

THey are offering me 42,500. for it!

I have already been scammed by another company, supposedly in Nashville, Tennessee and then before close they wanted me to come up with 10% of the offer for closing fees.

I reported the previous incident to BBB last year.
