Please be aware they are scams !
I applied from the indeed and figured out they are advertising their position as a translator in LinkedIn and Indeed as well. One lady contacted on her phone and told me to contact their "HR manager" whos name was "David Mooneyham" this time.
They wanted to have a interview on the Skype chat, yes that's right not the video only on the chat. They introduce themselves as planeta DeAgostini Company asked me to check their company website first https://www.planetadeagostini.es
This seems believable and the pay and benefits they offered was way to good. Macbook and $35 hrs? 5 hrs of training. All of them are BS!
They asked me 20 questions and the questions were made sense for the interview. I thought it as strange. I answer all those questions spent an hour to answer all. I really hate them to made my time wasted. Anyway at the question 20, I got the suspicious question and noticed this is totally scam. "What bank do you operate with to see if it tallies with the company payroll official bank."
After one day, they said I got the job and they sent me the offer letter and W4 form. from the email address : [email protected]
I am so angry that they waisted my time and try to rid people who tries to look for a better job.

Fake employment scam letter from david mooneyham

heres a copy of their fake employment letter, so anyone else would be weary of this SCAM!

Same happened to me, David Mooneyham guy interviewed me on Skype, only text chat not video, hes too coward to show his face. A recruiter named Emily McCoy texted me and told me to message David on skype. Then said I was hired for this job after giving me same questionaire and gave me a fake employment letter. David was trying to hustle me out of my money since I told him when will I start working but he kept on asking for me to send money to him to reimburse the MacBook Pro will provide in the future, even though there is no laptop nor job, ITS ALL A BIG FAT SCAM set up to steal your money. Please be aware of these job spams, even from ok sites like indeed.com. They use real companies info and post job offerings which real companies dont have any clue they're doing and scam potential job seekers. This is all a huge scam and all a waste. NOTHING BUT A SCAM!

My experience was very similar to the complaint from June 22, 2021. The differences: I received a Linkedin message from a "Steve Blaney" who referred me to a "Fred Santos" who would conduct the "interview" on WhatsApp. As I researched the company and job description, I found info on this scam. Then, I went back to my Linkedin messages. Steve Blaney no longer has a Linkedin Account and Fred Santos is nowhere to be found. I called Fred's number several times. No answer. Eventually, it stopped ringing. I reported him to Whats App. Steve Blaney is a real person. I'm going to contact him to let him know that his image and info have been used in a scam.

I got a text message say that she reached out to me because she saw my resume on indeed.com (which I haven't used for about 6 years and it's not updated). She said her name is Cathy Silva and she's a temporary recruiter at Grupo Planeta Company. She told me that I'm a good fit for a translator position and the salary is 40$ an hour. She asked if I could tell her when I would be available for an interview. I told her I could do it immediately. She asked me to contact Mr. Russell Greene by Telegram or WhatsApp. I chatted with Mr. Russell and answered a bunch of interview questions which seemed to be legit. I gave him my name, address, email, phone number. Apparently, the next day he told me I passed, congrats and welcome to the company. He told me that a Macbook Air, a printer and a W-4 form would be sent to me for work. I asked him if I'm gonna get 1099 form since it's a foreign company and her said yes, which I thought doesn't make sense cause it's not a US company, they don't need to issue any 1099 form. He sent me an email. The email was plain and there's no image, no name, position or company name at the end of the email. He sent me an employment letter (pdf file) along with the email, which looked poorly-made and skeptical with many mistakes. The letter addressed other people name. The email they used was [email protected] BUT when I reply them it sent to [email protected], WEIRD. I reply to [email protected] and asked them to check my name again. Didn't get any email back.
