Gypsy wireless has always been kind of shady, but for those of us who needed large amounts of high-speed data in rural areas, they were worth the hassle (IMO). However in the past 6 months they have gotten much worse. I've had to submit new SIM cards multiple times and wait weeks for activation. And now, they aren't responding to any support tickets. Make sure that Gypsy Wireless support is responding to support requests before signing up or renewing your service. I think this might be the end of their business. We have already switched over to buying a data plan direct from AT&T because Gypsy isn't responding to us at all at this point. So be warned.

I had service with them for a year until December 31 2020. The service kept cutting out. The guy on chat was so rude to me. Took hours to just get service back on. I had a week left on my plan when I was cut off on December 31st 2020. I went all January without internet before ordering the new 400g plan and sim in february. They never answered my messages but when they did I was offered a refund. Feb was the last time I have been able to reach a gypsy wireless tech. I waited another month and no refund so I cancelled my card and reported it to my bank in March because gypsy wireless tried to charge me a 2nd time but my service I payed for in Feb was never even started. The bank gave me my money back temporarily when I reported it as theft then by April my bank concluded that it was a civil matter so the 90 was taken back out of my account. I just want my money back from them. I didn't receive any service whatsoever since december 31st 2021. It is theft. They are stealing from people and nothing is being done about it. If you pay money for a service and don't receive the service then a refund should be given but not with these con artists. I am glad I am not alone.

Last year, the service would cut off at the end of the month (with autopay) like clockwork and take days, upwards of a week to be back on. Surprisingly, that stopped happening at some point, but I must have lost out on months of service. Service has been alright since then, but come end of April my hotspot has no service. Absolutely nothing I can do with the device to get service.

I contact Gypsy Wireless through their awful website, and hear nothing for a week. At that point, I try to go through ATT - they tell me over the phone there is nothing they can do because its a "business account" and I need to go through that division. Business division tells me there's nothing they can do I have to go through my vendor. Another couple days go by and I threaten to chargeback Gypsy Wireless for services not rendered. Immediate reply. They tell me that I need a new SIM because of problems with ATT. This was on 5/5.

My account has been on autopay on the 17th each month since before the 2021 switch. I then get a reply on 5/10 telling me my service was cut due to non payment for February - which was not what I was told before. On 5/13 they charge me for February "non-payment". At this point I am livid. Charging me 4 days in advance when I still don't have service?

Finally able to get in touch 5/14 (today) and "King" is unwilling to have a phone conversation, per usual. He's telling me I did not pay for February and to prove otherwise. On my bank account, the money has been drawn like clockwork on the 17th each and every month. So I ask where I can send my bank reports - he doesn't reply to that and tells me its not "in his system". That means nothing to me. They're running a terribly formatted Wordpress/template type site. Tells me to give him the order number and he'll refund.

I check my email and for January I get Order #1. Then February I get the same invoice, Order #1 but its sent on 2/17 - same day the money was withdrawn. March I get Order #2 and the rest of the months the invoices are coming as expected.

I explain this and King doesn't care. Order #1 is just January (even though I got a repeat invoice # for February) and "you can't prove you paid". Won't give me an email to send my bank reports.

And here's the best part - he tells me that I'm not the only one that missed payment February. So people on autopay just didn't pay?! And you take money out of my bank account 5/13 for February?! BS! There was some kind of flaw (scam) on February's payments and he's too incompetent or scammy to listen. When I tell him I'm disputing the payment for 5/13 and April's payment (since it was active for barely a week) he tells me that I still haven't paid him and that I'm basically freeloading off him. Hah! I have way overpaid for incompetent service for far too long.

Cancel your accounts. There should be a class action against these scammers.

When they did the 2021 Cutoff i renewed at for 600GB Auto and now in May 5th i see others are having issues aswell after purchasing.

"20 Years of Experience" i can sure account for that if you can't afford a Phone Number or actual Live Support.

If they don't have this fixed in a couple of days ill see if i can force a refund through my bank considering they can't keep their 30 day cycles up without taking 5-10 Days to put in service and not add that time back.

Update:
A day or two ago they replied in a SMS wanting me to pay $359 for Data i never ordered - saying i haven't paid since Feburary when they know i disabled auto-renewal and i even told them in a SMS i did not order anything but their Technician still decided to insist i pay it (im not im done with their shenanigans).

Also if your someone who is probably only reliant on this i would switch to a cheap carrier and see if their data speeds are good at your location and just hotspot/teether from it since you will come out cheaper and most likely with same if not better speed.

I was on their $75 plan for several months on the auto renew plan and as many others have mentioned, like clockwork, my service would cut off every single month around the same time. But they are close to my only option at this point so I’ve had to just deal with them. When January 1st hit I was surprised yet again with a cut off of my service, but this time they wanted me to pick another plan that cost even more money. So I got a new SIM card as instructed and paid for the $120 a month plan for 600 GB of data. I sent them SO MANY EMAILS and they actually would respond to me within a day or two, but they kept saying the same thing, that they are very backed up and that the sim would be activated as soon as possible. It took 7 days for the service to become active of which I also lost out on those seven days because they ended up charging me for the next month 23 days later instead of 30 days later. But I kept my mouth shut because I was just happy to have my service back. So now it has been four months on the new plan with auto renew turn on and I haven’t had any interruption of service at all, until yesterday. I get home from work and go to stream something and about a minute after beginning to stream the service cuts off. I go onto my account page and it says my plan is active but the current months order is still “processing”. I check my bank account and the money was already taken out. I have left them numerous messages and have yet to receive any response from them. Their hours on the website says Monday through Saturday from 10am - 7pm EST but that is complete horse manure. At least last year when I had issues the live chat actually opened after 10 am. Now it’s email/leave a message only and there is no live chat available anymore. Although it’s expensive and the equipment wasn’t cheap either I am more than willing to pay the $120 a month for their plan. When it works it actually works extremely well for me. I have my Mofi connected to a MIMO antenna outside the house and I usually get around 40-50 MB down and 3-8 MB up. But when you run into a problem and they cut off your service for whatever reason, good luck trying to get it resolved because chances are it’s going to take several days before you get your service back up and running, if at all.

The same thing just happen to me yesterday around 6 p.m. my internet just cut off and i have left them numerous emails/messages and no one has replied. Im currently bout to start looking for another vender that u can actually call. Thanks im not the only one dealing with this

They took money from my account for their $164 plan and never actually did anything with the sim card. Avoid this company! Huge scam.

I paid on Feb1 for the month. On Feb 3 it was cut off. All tries to contact Gypsy went unanswered.

So, maybe someone should create a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against AT&T with emphasis Gypsy Wireless. Pointing to the 14 complaints above that would get someone's attention .

Worked fine at first. Then cut off, new sim , few days back on. This went on every month. Until Dec 31 ... they promised a service they cannot give at the moment. I’m about 130.00 in the hole with this group. They suck. They are no responding to any of their tickets or email. Net buddy same thing. It’s so frustrating. Ughhh

Im having the same experience. They never notified me about the update on dec 31 2020. I bought the service and new sim on saturday jan 2. My internet has not yet been activated well pass 48 hrs. Now marks 72. I've notice that after jan 5 no tickets are being created anymore. They have really become disappointing.

They actually notified me and I paid up early so I wouldn’t be turned off and dang it they didn’t do it anyway! No nothing!

The service cuts out every day had tp buy 4 different sim cards within 1 year of there service. Person was very ruded never offered refunds even when they was supposed to provide the sim card in the starting package. Every day had internet issues with it crashing and every month had to keep reacting auto pay for this company. Never notified me of shut off for new years or when they had to change of contracts... this is definitely no bag for your buck. It is definitely a ripe off comany whos only reason is to ripe off people who have trust in AT&T providers. They give this company a bad name.

Exact same experience as Botman76. Service went down like clockwork on the 18th, I had to contact them every month since I started in June, no response. I check on the site and see the prices have gone up. They never contacted me to let me know there was an increase which I MIGHT have gone along with, but to just let it lapse is a horrible way to do business.

Started with this company back in February of this year when It was $60 a month. Got disconnected when they upped the price to $75 without notice. All disconnections are without notice and auto renewal is a joke. Have to contact them every month to reconnect service. Just found out today that service will be cut off if you go over 400 gigs. Never received a notice of any changes or problems. Waited a whole day just to find out I have to wait 10 days before getting service again. Looking for a better internet in a rural area is the pits. They are also arrogant in their responses to you. Customer service is beyond poor.

Sadly same thing here. I have 2 hotspots and both renewed on the 21st of OCT. One disconnected that day, over 5 days they finally get back to me and said needed new sim card. Bought 1 sent the new sim number and heard nothing back. Been 4 days. Today my other hotspot was disconnected. We all should of known something was up, when they stopped doing live support chat. Myself at least on the 1st modem, I will contact the Attorney General in my state as on that account it is theft by deception. Many 3rd party companies are no longer accepting ATT clients. Obviously ATT is stopping many if not all 3rd party resellers. Doesn't give them the legal right to take the money and not refund.

This company is shady at best. I have been fighting with them for seven months. I have not made it through a month without losing service. They have no phone number and have blocked their live chat. You send an email and maybe you'll hear back within a week. Now my autopay went through and my service disconnected. I can't get a response at all. It's been over a week. I'm thinking they may be closing down and took a last monthly payment from me on the way out the door. One of the worst experiences I've had.

What a bunch of clowns...non- existant customer service has failed to respond to any of the emails that I have sent. Service was shut off less than a week after the payment was made. Not sure if I will be charged again because it was set up on recurring payments and can't see to get a conformation that the service has been cancelled.

I hate to write bad review and make claims but alas I like many others it seems, have been having a hard time getting a hold of anyone, and have been without internet for five days. My husband in the beginning was told to get a new sim card, we did that and to no avail the internet is still not working. Than we have been trying to get a hold of someone to fix this issue but my husband has been getting the runaround or rather has gotten no communication. I have only been with them for a month and I am hoping to resolve this issue, we shall see.

Company is no longer active. I sent many emails and heard nothing back. Service never activated. Not sure I will get a refund per their agreement.

Been through 3 SIM cards. Service cancelled multiple times. Mostly right after we pay the monthly fee. It's a joke

Had a pretty bad experience with very unprofessional customer service. The agent got very emotional over the fact that I had not stayed on top of the emails they sent or the front page of their website. It was unnecessary, and quite frankly just about ruined my day.

So, great price, supposedly good service once you are on the $75 plan (don’t know haven’t been to try it yet cause I was apparently told I would need a new SIM card, but forgot, or misremembered the conversation)...
But pretty unprofessional customer service.
