High Quality Auto Glass Reports & Reviews (2)

They tried to repair my window, and I told them no. I ran inside the gas station to grab a snack, and they started to repair my car after I told them no, then tried to charge me 100 for a repair I didn’t ask for, then told me to grab my insurance policy to report a claim. Now my insurance thinks I got into a accident and my rates went up. They are working on a restricted zone on north Texas, Fairfield CA. At the Valero gas station

I was pumping gas at Valero gas station on N Texas St, Fairfield Ca. A man from " High Quality Auto Glass" came up to me and said he was doing free safety inspections on vehicles. I was still in the process of pumping my gas and I had my one year old daughter in my car so I was trying to ignore him. He noticed a small crack in my windshield and started repairing the crack and told me it was free through my auto insurance, and he couldn't charge me anything even if he wanted to. I never consented to having the repair. He asked me who my auto insurance was and I said Geico. He called geico and told him he was from High Quality Auto Glass and then handed me the phone. I got on the phone and was suspicious of the interaction, I didn't want to give my personal information because the whole scenario was suspicious and I didn't know if I was really talking to Geico. I told her that the man just came up to me at a gas station and repaired my window and I don't know if it is a scam so I don't want to give my birthdate. She confirmed that she was from Geico and it was legitimate (looking back she was just talking about herself). I was in a hurry to get out of the gas station as my daughter was starting to get fussy and I didn't feel comfortable. As soon as I left I called geico back to confirm that everything was legitimate. They told me that they won't be able to cover the cost of the window repair because they have to take picture prior to the repair. I told them that the guy starting repairing the window before he even called my insurance. This just happened yesterday so I don't know what the amount of the bill they will try to charge me for. When I look up the address on the form it shows up as an insurance company.
