Hilton Reports & Reviews (9)

I received a robo call from *** indicating I received a complimentary stay at the Hilton, press 1 to access this complimentary stay. I pressed 1 as I regularly do business with Hilton, this went to a phone that rang and rang and then disconnected. Then I called back to the *** and there was an elderly woman who was deaf on the other end of the line who then handed the phone to her son that reported that this happens all the time, and there is nothing that can be done. The son indicates even they get robocalled by their own phone number. I let the robocaller son know that I would be reporting this to the police.

Human on the line had convincing information that he was a Hilton representative. Asked about travel arrangements. Then asked if my age range was in a very large range. As soon as I said "Yes" he hung up.

Clearly another scam to get a "YES" voice recording to try and sign me up for services that I did not agree to.

They pretended to be Hilton vacations offering a vacation package all we had to do was review and tell friends about it. They asked for my name which is normal for those types of calls but then asked if I was 25 and when I said yes immediately hung up.

- Findlay, OH, USA

Someone called saying they were with Hilton hotels and offered a package to Orlando that for $295, three night/day. They asked for credit card information over the phone, with no details of what the package included, where eligible, etc. I called Hilton to confirm their solicitation process and it didn’t match up.

I THINK I may be a victim of a YES phone scam. I was looking up the unknown number as I answered the call and said "yes" before I knew it. The call claimed to be representing a Hilton Hotel promotion based on recent stays. I couldn't understand what the caller was saying and asked him to repeat it himself several times. He asked if I was at least 25 and I said, "Yes." The call was disconnected. I realized what had happened and immediately began trying to find sites that would direct me on what to do. The number has been a busy signal since; this happened 30 minutes ago.

I HOPE that I don't have my identity or anything else stolen. I don't know how the YES is effectively used.

Called to say my Hilton booking number has been chosen for a free stay.

- Holden, MO, USA

Received a phone call offering a complementary room at the Hilton, which we had reserved months ago, so I checked it out. Person on the other line asked if I was 25 or older, and I said "Yes." To which he immediately put me on hold, and to which I soon hung up, realizing what I had done.

Got a call that was telling me that I won a free trip to hilton hotels (i've been getting a lot of calls about hilton hotels yet i've never been to one) because i've traveled with them before, yet i never have, they asked me if was married are you between the ages of 25 and 75, and basic stuff like that. I gave them a fake name "Matt Belcon" and basically gave them a bunch of fake information, , etc. the whole way through at the end they asked for my credit card and said "hold on ill go get my card" (ready to give them a bogus number) then got transfered to what I believe is was the manager of the branch and he said that i was just on the phone with their newest "recruit" matthew and wanted to know if i had any questions before we went any further. I said "how did you get this number" they said "because you've traveled with us before this is our way of saying thankyou" I said "what would you say if i said i've never traveled with you before" they said "would you like to?" I said "what would you say if i said i knew this was a scam call?" the man sighed and said "Matt, this isn't a scam call i'll just go ahead and remove you from the list" the man got off the phone, i stayed on the line for a second and heard a robotic voice say *You have been kicked from this conference* (The entire time I could a bunch of other scamming XXXXXX  in the background talking to other poor people.

- Portsmouth, VA, USA

Scam of free Hilton vacations to get you to say yes. The question asked was, "are you over 21?". The caller then places you on hold to hang up.
