Robo call to my cell phone claiming my power would be shut off in the next 30 minutes due to non payment. Call directed me to press 2 if I wanted to speak to someone and avoid the power being turned off

The phone call is from a private number. It is an automated message saying my service will be cut off in 30 minutes if I do not pay. I don't hear the rest because I hang up. Idaho Power does not threaten to shut off power within 30 minutes; check with them before you make any payments.

Posed as my power company saying that if I did not pay in the next 30 to 45 minutes they were going to shut off my power

Call claiming to be Idaho Power saying my electricity will be surged off in 30 minutes due to delinquent payment. Then asking for payment over the phone

Received a robo call that came up Idaho Power from the number above stating that my power would be shut off in 30-45 minutes and to press 1 to speak with a representative. The person answered…English was a second language asking how he could help me. I said I don’t know you tell me. He knew my name and my address and that’s where I stopped him telling him I knew he was a scammer, my account was in good standing,I was reporting him and the number he was calling from to the police and to never contact me again.

A Martin called with “Idaho Power” stating they were at my address and we’re going to shut off my service due to non payment, gave me a number to call to give immediate payment or my service would be shut off.

Message on our home phone from the "Disconnection Department of Idaho Power" to inform us that our electricity will be turned off within 30 minutes due to non-payment. Our bill is not past due so I am assuming this is a scam. There was an option to press 1 to speak to someone which I assume is when they would try to get financial information. The actual Idaho Power phone number (208-388-2200) shows up on the Caller ID which makes the call seem legit.

Caller demanded immediate payment or power would be shut off. They suggested to pay with banking app Zelle. The person was very rude demanding payment. When I asked for a supervisor or their name they became even more hostile. Kept asking for their name they hung up.

Phone call stating power disruption. Caller requested verification of name, zip code, address, other personal information. When questioned caller provided an address. When told would not confirm address or any other information, caller hung up.

Recorded call stating that I was in the queue for electric to be shutoff within the next 35-40 minutes and to press 1 to speak to a representative to avoid disconnect and make payment arrangements

Received a call telling me my power was going to be shut off if I didn’t pay my power bill.

There is new building construction in our area. The scammer said that my line would be down. Then she said I owed on a bill. I asked the girl who she was with and she said, "Idaho Power." She did not have an accent. They wanted me to push 3 to talk to a rep so I did and she asked me, "Can you hear me?" I said, "Yes." She asked me several times. I knew then that I had been scammed.

Received an automated phone call at business (Fastenal - Mountain Home Branch) advising us that our power would be cut off in 30 minutes unless we called 1-877-545-6456 immediately to pay the balance on our account.

Called as Idaho Power to collect a debt. Wanted the owed amount and late fees. Then tried for $300 refundable deposit to pay bill (wtf). Even stepped through my bank’s website to tell me how to pay via Zelle. I paid $78 and contacted my bank when I caught on too late (was in a hurry and distracted). Grrrr.

Scammer called first with recorded line that the power would be shut off in 30 minutes and to press one to talk with a representative. Scammer said his name was Jason Adams and that we owed May, June, and July bill for over 700.00. He was very pushy and when I asked for a number to have the owners call him back he gave me three different numbers and said he wasn't able to hold off the turn off and that it would happen in the next 30 min. I asked him the options for payment and he went into step by step detail on zelle pay from our bank. When he realized I was not actually taking the steps just listening to what he was saying he became very scolding and said the technician is on his way. I told him again the owners would need to call Idaho Power themselves. When he gave me instructions for zelle pay he said to use the first name Idaho Power with a space then dash and quick pay. The reason for not actually falling for this was that the scammer was calling on a holiday and Idaho Power is closed.

This was a recorded call, spoofing a random local cell phone number. It said that power was going to be disconnected within 30 minutes due to unpaid delinquent balance to Idaho Power. After the first message played, another immediately played with a different voice. Slightly different script, but it said basically the same message. There's no way our business power bill could be delinquent. This one sounded very convincing and I'm worried that many elderly victims are going to fall for this one.

We received a call from what we thought was Idaho Power but when we answered, the recording said that we need to press 1 to speak to customer service or in 30 minutes our power will be shut off, and it was from Idaho Power is what the recording said....We hung up because we thought it was a scam, but the number matched Idaho Power and that was very odd....

It was a single person who had to ask for my address, name, and other information that they shouldn't need to verify that is shown on my account. I had paid my Idaho Power bill only a few hours before receiving this call, which had to be a scam due to the person telling me that my power was going to be shut off even though I have a payment arrangement with Idaho Power.

Antony called stating he was a technician from Idaho Power and that he was going to disconnect our power in 45 minutes. He gave a "reference" code, 9691T01. I said I would have to contact the person responsible for bill payments and asked for a telephone number. He said the number was for Customer Service. Our payment person immediately contacted Idaho Power to verify that all payments were up-to-date, which they were. He contacted the Customer Service number, and they could not verify that they represented Idaho Power or had the ability to look up account information by name only. This is a scam...

Received a call from "Travis Wash" who said he was with the Idaho Power disconnection team and they were disconnecting our service. The only way to stop it was to call 888-562-5579 right away and reference #2569963. I checked the "last # called" and was given the #413-667-9571. I phoned that and an individual answered saying "Idaho Power". I asked for Travis; he set the phone down (didn't put it on hold) and another man got on and said he was an administrator with Idaho Power. I asked for Travis and he said Travis was with their disconnection crew and not in. I said I would call back and hung up. I've reported this to Idaho Power as well..
