Placed an add on Craigslist for the sale of a saddle on 12/02/23. I received a full price offer and was then later asked if I would accept a cashiers check. I gave James Mossy my address to send the check to. He then responded that he was going to send a check for not only the 1675 for the saddle but also 1800 for the shipper and 50.00 for my trouble. I didn't feel comfortable about the transaction as the shipping was way too high so I looked up scams involving cashiers checks. Realizing I have been scammed I texted him to cancel the transaction and not send a check. I am worried he has my address, phone number and email.
