Jetline Vacations Reports & Reviews (1)

We contacted JetLine Vacations in October 2021 to book a trip to Greece from October 1 - 15, 2022. Prior to finalizing the booking with Abbie, the JetLine sales rep, we advised that we were traveling with four small children (ages, 9, 7, 6 and 1 1/2) and that we would not accept early/late departure arrival times nor would we accept long layovers. We paid a total of $1,600 in deposits ($200 X's 8) and, shortly thereafter, we paid an additional $4,800. Immediately after paying the $4,800, Abbie phoned to give us initial flight information which included a 20-hour layover in Munich prior to arriving into Athens on Monday, October 3 rather than arriving on Sunday, October 2. I immediately contacted Abbie and advised him that this was unacceptable and he responded that this was an early release of available inventory and that we had plenty of time to find more suitable flights. Our agreement with JetLine Vacations was to pay the balance by August 22, 2022 but JetLine sent monthly emails and personally phoned every month indicating that our balance was severely past due and payment must be made immediately. I forwarded all the emails to Abbie to resolve. We finally agreed to pay the balance of roughly $7,000 on June 11. On June 15, we received suggested, final flight information which, for a direct flight, would increase the cost by nearly $2,000 and an additional $1,200 for luggage ($150 X's 8). Our Booking Agreement indicated flights would depart from JFK but the suggested flights had us flying out of Newark. Our Booking Agreement indicates arrival into Athens before 3:00PM the following day but our anticipated arrival was after 4:00PM. Our intra-island suggested flights were horrible - flight from Athens to Mykonos departing at 6:15AM and the flight from Mykonos to Santorini departing at 10:25PM with an arrival after midnight. Our flight from Santorini to Crete was scheduled to depart at 7:25AM and our flight from Crete to Athens was scheduled to depart at 1:25PM. Our booking agreement indicates all intra-island flights would depart no earlier than 10:00AM and no later than 12:00PM (noon). I advised Abbie that he had not abided by the Booking Agreement and that JetLine Vacations should refund the $6,400 paid. JetLine Vacation's TERMS & CONDITIONS - ITEM #7 READS "IF WE CHANGE OF CANCEL YOUR BOOKING - WHILE WE ALWAYS ENDEAVOR TO AVOID CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS, WE MUST RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DO SO, IN WHICH CASE OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO A FULL REFUND. Go to JetLinevacations.com and scroll down to the bottom to read the entire TERMS & CONDITIONS. JetLine Vacations has refused to refund the $6,400. the JetLine Vacations TERMS & CONDITIONS ITEM #5 also indicates IF YOU CANCEL YOUR TRIP - PERIOD BEFORE DEPARTURE THAT WE RECEIVE WRITTEN NOTIFICATION TO CANCEL: AMOUNT OF CANCELLATION CHARGE: MORE THAN 91 DAYS - DEPOSIT ONLY. We requested cancellation due to JetLine Vacations not abiding by the Booking Agreement; however, JetLine Vacations has indicated we are not entitled to any refund. I began checking review websites (TrustPilot, Review Center, Facebook) and found 1,000's of others who have experienced the same response from JetLine Vacations. I understand a number of those seeking refunds were impacted by COVID cancellations. I also understand that inflation, gas prices, travel expenses are all up significantly since the initial booking in October 2021. On June 22, 2022, we rebooked our trip to Greece on a direct basis. Interestingly, we found all direct flights from JFK to Athens were less than flights which included 1 or more layovers. Abbie has tried to convince us that arranging for a direct flight will result in higher costs. Check for yourselves - go to Expedia.com and plug in a JFK to ATH departure on Saturday, October 1 and you should find that all direct flights are lower priced than those listing a layover. JetLine Vacations is running a ponzi scheme as it is collecting from unsuspecting new clients and refusing to refund booked clients. Do your own research using the various websites mentioned above and you will find a common pattern of similar experiences. JetLine Vacations was featured in RipOffBritain in 2019 and, when I contacted RipOffBritain, they were surprised JetLine Vacations was back doing the same thing. I have filed a report with RipOffBritain but I have yet to hear a response.
