Received a text from a Nick Bender stating he was a recruiter and got my information and resume from Indeed. Offered a remote Administrative Assistant position with Aslan Pharmaceutical company at $35 per hour full time with benefits. Skype link didn’t work so he sent a second one. Used actual names of people on the Aslan website. But only Skype typing without camera (first red flag). Offered job after about 15 questions. Said they were mailing me a check to purchase specific equipment and software from a contractor. Have a detailed list of equipment. The equipment was discontinued and the software is outdated and multiples of the same purpose. Received an email from [email protected] (red flag) with multiple attachments concerning my “hiring”. No address on any of the documents and all marked from HR department without a contact name. One asked for proof I can work in the US and references. All documents were form letter fill ins which had part of the instruction still on it (red flag). Wanted me to Skype multiple times and last Skype was to be five days after being “hired” so they could give me a tracking number of the purchase check (which was already supposed to have been received the previous day).
